Former 5-star prospect Xavian Sorey enters transfer portal
Another Georgia Bulldog has entered the transfer portal, as inside linebacker Xavian Sorey becomes the most recent Bulldog to do so.

Losing to Alabama has set back UGA's program significantly. Significantly. Long term.
Not sure that's true. But if Bama wins again next year it will put the changing of the SEC guard narrative to bed for a while.
Looks like bedlam to me. Is the Genie out of the bottle or will the NCAA step in and say enough of this 3 ring circus twice a year and impose some type of limitations?
How so?
Go, Dawgs!
For those who believe Bama won’t have all of this fall out as well, remember they are having these problems just haven’t made that stuff official because they are in the playoff.
man this portal thing s u c k s
You don't know, Jim? Georgia just lost a game for the first time in two calendar years. Obviously it's all over now. I mean, what kind of weak ass program can't even win more than 29 in a row? The kind that's only built for the short term, that's what. Frankly, I'm a little embarrassed for you that this had to be explained.
Thanks. It is very often embarrassing to be me.
Go, Dawgs!
Lol....how do ya figure? DO tell.
The guys leaving...are leaving to make room for younger and equally talented players, coming in. The guys leaving have pretty much reached their ceiling at UGA...and, may find success in a smaller pond. That's ALL it means.
Next year...like last year and the year before that...UGA will field a talented, well coached football team. It's a standard that doesn't go away with a roster change.
Fyi...Sorey and Madden...and others...have been passed on thedepth chart by the likes of CJ Allen, Mondon and Wilson. Next year's Freshmen promise to be equally talented. So....where's the drop off?
I'm waiting, Son.
Go Dawgs!!!!
Lol...I've seen @Beachwagon make those little "one liners" on other sites.
I think he's just a kid that doesn't know any better. You know how these little "Snow Flakes" think, these days. They don't [think]...and, most of em are scared to death of "Work". They're "entitled" to better...dontcha know?. 🤣
Sorey obviously had some issues this past year that Kirby will never address. He was not on the injury list, but was conspicuously absent when JDJ went down. He did have to play in the SEC when Mondon got banged up. CJ and Raylen got more snaps when JDJ was out. With Allen, Wilson, Bowles and the incoming freshman from Texas, 5 star and #1 rated linebacker in the country, Justin Williams, the linebacker room will be young, but extremely talented. Don't forget about Jalen Walker, who while playing mostly outside due to necessity, has always been considered by Kirby as an inside backer. Sorey came in with Mondon and JDJ, but never really clicked. He is very athletic and I am sure many teams will love to have him, but I feel good about the linebacker room.
You don't leave the best program in college football, the super highway to the NFL but for five reasons.....#1, you realize that you have reached your potential...ie: tired of working as hard to maintain or raise your position on the depth chart, #2, you realize that no matter how hard you work that short of an injury to the guy ahead of you will limit your playing time, #3, you've graduated and want to try another opportunity, #4, you believe the myth that the turf will be greener....NIL/playing time somewhere else, #5, You're just tired of the hardest grind in college football that is required of being a football player at The University of Georgia......At any rate, you are the only person who can make this decision and I wish all of our TP players the very best in their future endeavors.....no one can ever take away that YOU played for and contributed to the best college football TEAM in America!
Sorey.....“I have had the opportunity to learn from some of the best coaches, played with the best players and been supported by the best fan base in college football. And though I will forever cherish the magic Between the Hedges, I have decided to enter the transfer portal.”
If what he says is true, there are no more college teams he could possibly consider....! These kids make no sense at times but that is how it is in the football world.
My comment is not Directed at anyone in particular but it’s the ole if the shoe fits thing:
Big LOL 😂 !!! The sky is falling !! The sky is falling !! UGA Dawgs are a sinking ship !! WRONG !! OK some guys that were pretty good coming out of HS are leaving because they want More playing time else where.
Well WAIT till we start hearing how Kirby reaps from the Other side of the portal door !! It Does work Both ways you know !! And that’s not even talking about all the HS recruits Kirby will reel in.
Does make the Orange Bowl a little more interesting. Be assured the Dawgs will be right back in the thick of things in the hunt for greatness in 2024 !!
No their not gonna win Every game, Every year. NO team has. But the Dawgs ARE an Elite program now and will be right there At or Near the top for years to come as long as Kirby is HC. Go Dawgs !!
P.S. And as we’ve seen in the past Some of these guys might turn right around and come back. It’s happened before.
