Red-hot, hungry Ole Miss on deck for Georgia, a relieved but thinned-out title contender

Yep, one thing about the Gators yesterday; when Lagway went down, they didn't hang their heads and give up. You could tell that their defense decided that they would have to win the game (which was possible because Florida was actually leading when Lagway went out). Meanwhile, their offense, especially their O-Line, started straining just a bit extra. That drive they had just before halftime when they drove down the field in 43 seconds mostly on runs, was awesome. It was clear to me that they wanted it more, they just lacked the overall talent and depth of UGA to make it a reality. And Ole Miss will be fired up this week. For one thing, they are playing for their playoff lives. And secondly, they remember what happened last year in Athens, especially Dart. He reminds me of Baker Mayfield in that he's the type of QB who holds grudges and seems to play better with a chip on his shoulder. Georgia will need Texas game-level execution on defense, and Beck to play MUCH cleaner on offense. Having Etienne would also help. Go Dawgs!

I believe this, big time. Beck's #1 issue? Not being able to be "in the moment" and focus on the game... at least in the first half.

He constantly gives off the vibe that he's focused on his prospective NFL role and not the Dawgs' opponent right in front of him ("it is what it is")... and both suffer because of his inability to worry about his current performance (and team) FIRST

Probably because they have one of the more mercurial coaches in the conference! 😁
