It's now apparent to everone without Brock, Ladd, RaRa , and Jacksaint, Beck is just average QB. He needs to send all of them a nice little paycheck from his NIL account. Bobo doesn't help with his predictable, antiquated run scheme.
It's either a girl, drugs or coaching that makes a guy go backwards…hard to say which in beck's case
Beck needs to trade that Lamborghini in for a SMART car.
I love all the thumbs down for anything disparaging said about dem dawgs LOL.
I think the post below; like em or not are valid.
It was nice to have more blow out games (like last year) so Gun and puglisi could get some reps (thinking ahead to next year or if King Beck gets hurt) - 'Sup with him this year…..inquiring minds want to know :-)
My thoughts on the inconsistent play this season by UGA quarterback Carson Beck: Dawgs social media is awash in folks who don't really know much about football jumping on the bad optics of a guy who has come into a lot of money (through NIL) not playing at the level he did last year. Ah, they say, must be the Lamborghini he bought! But I don't think that the NIL money or the car has anything to do with Beck's game problems. (And the same answer to those sexist pigs blaming his girlfriend.) I think the problems are football-related. He lost some key targets that he had last year, including two kicked off the team this year, and, as Kirby Smart has noted, a lot of the times the receivers he still has just aren’t getting open. (At other times, they make spectacular catches, and sometimes Beck's throws are off-target, so it's not all on the receivers). To the latter point, I agree with my son that Beck appears not to trust the Dawgs' inconsistent offensive line, so his footwork has gotten really bad, which affects his accuracy and decision-making (leading to a lot more interceptions). And with the running game AWOL at key times this year, Beck appears to have gotten it in his head that it’s up to him to keep drives alive if we can’t run it and receivers aren’t open. So, he’s making some risky throws. I also think maybe Beck hasn’t been getting enough coaching, especially on the sidelines after things go wrong. As Smart has pointed out, Beck still is capable of making terrific throws and getting the offense into the right plays. He just isn’t operating with the consistency that he did last year (when the talent around him was a lot better). So, blame the car, if you like, but I think it’s just like when a batter gets in a slump — he has lost confidence and is thinking about it too much.
I don't see us as spoiled but most are realistically assessing the situation. Florida was down to their 3rd string QB and had other significant injuries, and was just an average team (4-4 or so) anyway. We SHOULD have demolished them and it never should have been that close. Has nothing to do with being spoiled. And, to be consistent with my opinion, I'm always thrilled to beat Florida. It's Great to be a Gator Hater!
