Is Denmen a mod now? What is he talking about?
I had the same problem a month or so back. Had to get a mod to fix it and it released all my drafts
You can also delete them yourself. Click on your "draft folder", then, without opening the individual draft, run your cursor over the upper right hand corner of the draft "banner". When your cursor arrow changes to a hand/pointed finger, left click, and it will delete the draft.

Thanks a thousand up votes to you. I have been frustrated by not being able to delete drafts that auto save. I instead have been deleting everything and just saving the first word to overwrite. This knowledge that you provided is the gift that keeps on giving
Thanks @Palm_City_Dawg and @Hank . I just deleted 45 drafts. They were all cringeworthy.
I second that commotion. I had a bunch I didn't even know I had.
On the mobile version of the site, not necessarily the app, there's a dark 'x' to delete each draft on the top right of each draft in your profile. May not be easy to see, depending on your brightness settings
