I was coming back to add this to my prior message when I saw your response.

Many more may question Pope's masculinity after that display than his actual commitment to UGA football.

I'm sort of torn. I don't like that Kirby called him an idiot. That's never a good look. He could have kept his remarks to what he said immediately after that and it would have been sufficient. But, Kirby is feeling the heat and the frustration like everyone. He won't expect grace but he should have given some to Pope.

I read Pope's apology. I understand he might have been happy to see his family/friends. However, they weren't supposed to be on the field to begin with so Pope's singular strategy should have been to get off the field regardless. Seems an odd thing to critique but when I unexpectedly see friends I haven't seen in awhile, I don't jump up and down like that. It was just odd for me to see that. I might expect it from a 10-year old but a college man?

The apology wasn't necessary but he clearly felt obligated so that's his choice. I imagine his teammates were either not bothered or have already moved on.

This was more than a picture. I saw the live tv stream and he was smiling AND laughing. Very ticked about that. He has no clue what it takes to be a leader. I’m very concerned about the perception of this team. Like Kevin Butler said on the call in show, how does it look that the QB that’s thrown 12 picks and had several fumbles isn’t pulled, but our running back gets pulled after one fumble.

Spot frikkin' on... it has affected the team at all levels, including CKS himself losing some composure when talking about Pope (IMHO). And fully agree with @Tazz2293 also: this is THE biggest issue for the Dawgs; all the rest pales in comparison and/or is a side effect of this leadership vacuum...

I hope the Dawgs win out and go all the way to the CFP end game... and win there! That said, I will save my "enjoyment" of UGA football for next season... for goodness sake, I hope it's CB free! 😬

Kirby seems much more upset by Pope acting goofy than by all the arrests we’ve had to endure. Very telling that Pope is an “idiot “ but “ we want to support” Colbie Young or RaRa. Maybe Kirby is the idiot?

@David1 What bothers you so much about that ? He’s a kid excited to see some hs friends. The Beck thing is worse imo but still not a big deal. It’s not the reason we lost. We lost bc Kirby & Bobo continue to get outcoached & out recruited(in terms of playmakers & using the portal). I

If Pope were my son I don’t think I’d appreciate Kirby calling him an Idiot and ****. Pope didn’t violate any team rules that I know of. Just amped up to see family and friends he hadn’t seen in a long time.

He probably should have tried to tone his excitement down some, but in the moment he probably didn’t think he’d be a victim of paparazzi . Kirby had Time to select what HE said. Kirby being a mature adult and in a very high position doesn’t look very good calling a really young man an Idiot and **** for something as trivial as that. Maybe he needs to chew on his COACHES like that a bit more.

Very simple to explain. Rookoe RB needs to remember RB job 1 is don't fumble the ball. Vet QB stays in because UGA has no one else that can play winning QB this season. Don't kid yourself. UGA's season is riding on Beck playing well. He is the teams only chance for a run.

    Sorry, not buying it.

With NIL & the portal don’t know if we’ll ever have another Georgia team that is 100% committed to the university.

Players laughing and joking after a loss? Unacceptable, period.

He Was Jumping Up and Down like a **** Idiot!

    It wasn't just a smile.
