Kirby says the CFP committee is emphasizing wins and losses more than SOS. He’s right—this year. Next year it will be a different metric. They need written criteria to standardize their evaluations.

"Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel is the chairman"??

Says it all, the fellow talks out of both sides of his mouth. Pretty sure that Ohio State has some legitimate complaints also.

Michigan A.D. Warde Manuel chairs the CFP? Say no more!

Perfect. Let the Dawgs play either Penn State or Indiana in the first round after a couple of weeks rest break. It will be an easier win for GA than playing FSU in the Orange Bowl.

So they talked about the strength of schedule for SEC teams ,but not the lack of strength of the Big 10 teams.

The committee is clueless. There is no VALID explanation for where a lot of the teams are ranked including UGA. How can you say, “…the last thing I’ll say is Georgia is behind Alabama and Ole Miss, and they’ve had head to head losses against those teams” but the Longhorns have no wins over Top 25 teams, and UGA has three wins over Top 25 teams, and yet there are seven spots separating the teams in the rankings. Even someone from Michigan could see that doesn’t make any sense.

While SEC should have 6-7 teams in the playoffs this year it will never have more than 4 make it. Nor will the committee allow 4 SEC teams to have a chance to make it the semis against each other. It would show what we all know which is the SEC is just better.

Is the playoff committee running this website? They’ll never get it right either. What is this? Day 132 for the double post comment section?

your last statement is very true. They will look at bracketology and rank the SEC team to have the harder draws, especially Georgia. As they are upset with Kirby speaking out against them. There will be easy paths to the semi finals for some teams.
