Had no doubts Gunner would be ok, too bad he had very little help from his supporting cast( RB's, WR's, OL). Defense played as well as any defense could have, they held ND several times on 3rd and 4th downs, and forced 3 FG's instead of TD's. The score could've been worse if not for the defensive play. With my 2 cents posted, I'll close with this.. Thanks for a wild, sometimes euphoric, at times disappointing, but a very enjoyable season! Win, or lose, I'll bleed Red&Black, and be a DAWG until I'm gone..GoDAWGS!

What needs to be figured out is the staff. Bozo, searles, and coley need to go. And Kirby will not make that move.

This is just an opinion, that's it. Most of the season problems on offense, I blame on Beck, he was too much about himself and the team just didn't respond to him. Don't get me wrong, they should have. But Stockton throws a missle and the receivers caught those, but couldn't catch Beck's? But the offense needs a complete overhaul. Kirby needs to stop thinking an offense that scores 24 points is ok. Scoring 13 against Kentucky, because he wants the defense to get reps, and then give a trash coach speak during the interview. I'm sick of hearing about schedules. Maybe the schedule for UGA, was against overrated teams. To boost it up. ND did exactly what they are supposed to do, blow out everyone you can. Because ND DEFINITELY looked like the better team and better coached team.

Another instant observation: no more yapping from SEC fans about schedule strength. The SEC was basically winless against the Big 10 plus Notre Dame this bowl season. Indiana played a better game in South Bend than did UGA in the Sugar Bowl. Add that to Texas needing a no-call on a targeting hit to beat an Arizona State team that was without their 2nd best offensive player and the SEC didn't back up any of their trashing everyone else's schedule this season. We haven't heard from Lane Kiffin in awhile and I guess we won't until next year.

Also, Kirby has to change. He needs to get serious about landing big time athletes at WR and RB.

What has happened to the vaunted UGA O line? Problem was not Stockton. First, he was given no meaningful reps all season in order for Kirby to prop up the psyche of struggling Beck, then thrown into the fire.

We rarely tried the perimeter, and Bobo is addicted to predictably running up the middle over and over. Hint: that only works with a dominant O line. Where are the speed runs to the outside, toss sweeps, etc? Minimal use of the big tight ends. Repeated backfield passes rarely yielded over 2 or 3 yards all season, many of them stuffed For a loss or at the line. Zero play calling creativity as usual.

Despite us not running much if any on the perimeter, ND did that to us successfully all game. Credit to their D, they stuffed us all game.

The long rests between games seem to inexplicably be a curse under Smart. We play better with less rest, less prep time and backed against the wall.

Only “positive” to this is that we would have probably lost to PSU and assuredly been severely embarrassed by OSU (I would hate for OSU to have that satisfaction).

I know I'll get beat up for this but I'm not totally down on everyone…we were outplayed for 54 seconds - and that was enough to win the game. The rest of the game, we traded blow-for-blow with another good team. Obviously, have things that went sideways on us but so did the Irish…both fumbles lost were perfect hits by them and 1st time starters at QB and punter handled pressure well (not roughing, my $$$). Defense played well and Bell's big drop did no damage. I don't fault Bobo for being aggressive before the half because he takes a beating all the time for not being aggressive…we simply lost by 54 seconds. The team played hard and that is all we can ask for…

I agree with just about everything you said. Except the rbs are fine, just injured. But the o-line was terrible. Receivers were ok in this game. At least not as bad as they have been. Bell drop was bad, but still scored a td on that drive. But still need better receivers. I also mentioned schedules. Read my last post.

Congrats to Marcus Freeman and The Fighting Irish…..and for sure Riley Leonard the MVP……I'm pullin for The Irish to win it all……definitely the best coaching of any team left!

Gunner's our guy, but he's got to speed up his release or either become Riley Leonard 2.0 and run with determination and grit…..Pugs has a real shot….competition will be fierce….PHENOMENAL opportunity for O-Line guys with want & desire, WR's that can catch, RB's that can break tackles and help take the load off Nate…..I see a refocus on TE's!

The ONLY outside run was Frazier on a toss sweep, and picked up like 20 yards.

"Indiana played a better game in South Bend than did UGA in the Sugar Bowl."

You just can't help yourself, can you? Good lord.

Georgia was a short completion away from making it a one-score game with 8 or 9 minutes left.

Aside from a dreadful 0:58 of game clock, Georgia outscored and outgained Notre Dame.

    Indiana:

11 & 3 ain't bad considering what we lost from last year's team, the schedule, the inconsistent OL play, the injuries, the dropped passes all year long, Carson going in his little funk, etc. etc.

Not voting you down, I agree with most of your comment. But I would NEVER cheer for ND, even if they were the only team in college football.. Penn State is just as bad, same goes for Texas, and osu also lol all 4 are media "darlings" especially ND. I wont be watching any more college football, until september. Could care less who wins it all. Looks as if the playoff committe chairman may get his wish if osu and penn state both win.. an all big10 title game. The reason a biased, active AD should never be the chairman of a playoff committe. Yet he claims there no bias, yeah right, and water isn't wet..

Georgia made too many mistakes to win what was going to be a close game. Give credit to Notre Dame.

Maybe Georgia could've played it the same way and also gotten away with it but in my opinion the officials negated Georgia's strongest position group. Georgia had something like 11-12 sacks against Texas and that was the difference in the games. The B-12 officials allowed ND O-lineman to hold all night, and it was almost never called. If they would've called O-line holding like it should've been called it could have been a difference.

After all is hashed out, ND did what they needed to do. Best of luck the rest of the way.

We haven’t been running the ball well for at least a couple of years. OL recruiting, development and performance have been in steady decline since Pitt Boss left.

Bobo’s ability to make everything look hard is breathtaking

Another pre-halftime, horrible play call that cost us. The last one cost us our starting quarterback and tonight’s cost us a fumble and 7 points. Just sit on the ball and come back ready in the second half.

    Awful, awful coaching.

And the below commenter saying Beck was all about himself, that is a $tupid, $tupid comment. That young man did his time on scout teams, years as a backup and never even thought about a transfer when he could have started anywhere 2 years earlier. He is an absolute D@mn Good Dawg and I am happy we had Beck and believe he won in spite of a bad offense.
