Well, let's be sure Curtis signs with us before we start anointing him as next year's starter. A lot of things can, and probably will, happen between now and signing day. These days I don't take any commitments for granted. Let's see what Stockton does. I do agree with a few who believe Puglisi is as talented, if not more so. But I will FOREVER say that J.T. Daniels was more talented than Stetson Bennett. He just didn't have the "IT" factor like Bennett did. But had Daniels not been injured by an out-of-control Jalen Carter (see start of Eagles-Cowboys game), we might never have known and we may not have won consecutive national championships. So, let's give Stockton (and Puglisi) a chance to show what they can do before we give their jobs to a high school kid who hasn't even signed with us.

the IT factor JT didn’t have was health and availability. Never lost a game as a starter at UGA.

@DallasDawg "So, let's give Stockton (and Puglisi) a chance to show what they can do before we give their jobs to a high school kid who hasn't even signed with us."\ Reddawg1: thanks for commenting on my conversation with Kasey and our thread. Below are my comments that should address your statement about giving a HS kid Gunner or Puglisi's job? Thanks.

Puglisi is getting audition time right now, more than likely today. You and I both know that CKS is not going to give the keys to someone who isn't ready. That said, if we get the kid and he shows he's got what it takes, then you ask him, give us 1 year, (if Gunner has a great year and returns)because that's all you're going to get him to wait. Talent evaluation is paramount when/if he comes in.

I'm all for the best player playing who gives us the best chance of winning a Natty. I don't know any of them personally, maybe you do, so I don't have hurt feelings for the guy who gets beat out. All things being equal among our QB's I go with experience and mental toughness. BUt if an incoming FR, has a higher ceiling and mental toughness, and the It factor, then you set yourself up for a strong Sophmore and Junior season, if he starts as a FR. If he's as good as advertized then he shouldn't be around for his SR. year. So. as I said, 2 years with 1 of those 2 year being a "rookie",( if he sits a season) or 1 year rookie(starts as a FR.)and 2 years of possible greatness? Don't fret . I won't call Kirby and demand Curtis take anyone's job! I'll let him decide.

@Kasey WHat if Gunner comes back?

Sort of depends on this year. If we don't make the playoffs or get knocked out and he has a bad game then, KIrby would have to have a serious assessment of his ceiling for next year. If we get to the quarter finals or beyond and he is flashing then you still have to make a very serious decision and find out from Curtis if he is willing to wait. It s a gamble either way. Best case scenario is GS takes us deep into the playoffs or the Natty and I don't know why GS would not want to come back, not sure he would be draftable, maybe last round. And that Curtis is willing to wait at least 1 year.

I said this a while back that I believe whoever gets Curtis(provided it's a top tier team ) wins 2 NC's with him at QB. Of course health and all of that.
