I've said it before, 3rd and 4th string need to be ready in this league. Asking who's 1st string in the SEC is a waste of time. How many snaps you get depends on your ability to practice well. You come to UGA thinking, well I'm 4th on the chart, and I won't see the field for three years. Wrong. You'll get snaps. How many is up to you.

While I'm blabbing on - Kirby if you read this, would it not make sense to hire the O Line coach at Langston Hughes as an analyst. Bring him up in the system. Seems Glover and Hughley are coached pretty well.

I hope they put a blocking tightened on Gunner’s blindside

How bad is Philips' foot injury? No mention.

    KIrby's quote in this story:

“This guy shows up, and he played on a great high school program,” Smart said of Glover on Saturday. “Well-coached, really well-coached offensive line, and walks in and just starts playing, and he’s natural, picking things up. I mean, where would we be without him right now? He has been a blessing for us.”

Now perhaps Kirby said this last Saturday, but he said the exact same thing about Glover after the Marshall game and I just find it hard to believe he's just an AI machine regurgitating the same exact quote every time he gets asked about Glover, down to the "He has been a blessing for us" Seems like some copying and pasting is going on with the writer, but perhaps not.

But, as well as Glover has played, I'm wondering if he wouldn't have been the announced starter at the beginning of the year if he had been on campus in the Spring. If he's good enough to start on the road at Neyland Stadium practicing as a second-stringer, imagine what he would be like if he had been getting first-team practice reps since the Spring. Excited about both him and (a healthy) Gaston.

Frankly, and this is coming from an old Offensive Lineman, Glover and Hughley stabilized things when they got into the game together. I'm not sure they actually played together at Langston-Hughes (starting on the same side of the O line) but they certainly seem to know how to work synergistically to get the job done. Hughley pushed his man way out of the picture on Frazier's run in OT and on the final play both Glover and Hughley got great push to get McCray across the goal line. They may be young but they give a great effort. As my old coach use to say: "if you screw up, then screw up hustling not loafing…" Going forward, until someone else proves otherwise, my starting 5 would be Freeling, Morris, Bobo, Glover and Hughley.

Heard the press conference and Kirby indeed said what's quoted about Glover for Tennessee game so no copying and pasting going on here. Glover played sparingly against Marshall and likely was Gaston getting reported on then. Maybe Kirby feels the need to balance the praise for his two true freshmen starting offensive linemen.

His speed has been a difference maker so far this year. Hopefully he spends more time healthy this season vs injured. He is a real weapon.

Glover and Hughley should be the starters at right guard and right tackle for the rest of the year.. #73 Gason rotate both guard positions and please find a offensive tackle in the rotation. Green #71 needs to be move inside to play guard. He is to slow to play tackle.
