Or...Miss. All things considered...the odds were about the same, either way. They should've gotten the 1st down...or throw a Wheel Route at em off the fake.

If the tackle doesn't WHIFF on his block, it's an easy first down. Bama's defense was discombobulated, but poor execution on the OL was the undoing. Can't totally blame coaching on this one. This team is very young and things like this are bound to happen.

My question is… why is it so easy for teams to jump out ahead of us all the time? We always seem to play from behind at the half. It's like teams know if they throw something new at us, we're not going to figure it out until the half. Kirby and Co are great at adjusting, but why aren't we more prepared for the first two quarters? Getting a big lead is the real reason Bama won the last two games against us.

I've said it and I'll continue to say it - going for the 4th down was statistically the right call especially with a running that we've been getting all day. The problem was the call itself. Granted if Jones doesn't get tripped up then it's an easy conversion, but for situations like this it's better to not get creative and go with your best backs and let them do what they do best.

Now, the fact that Smart has "1,000% confidence" in Bobo is about 970% too high. That shows someone that values friendship and loyalty and refuses to acknowledge when those people do not make the right calls. The slow start was likely Bobo's fault as well.

i have no problem going for it there. The problem was their rush to do so. Try to draw them offsides, give time for the refs to review the spot, take your time getting proper personnel for that play, make Alabama have to scramble or call a timeout. So many better outcomes.

I like Cash Jones. He’s a DGD. But he does not need to be out there for a play like that in a game of this magnitude. Then to do it again on that third down play? When Colbie and Noah Thomas have been left on islands all game? Poor coaching all around.
