There is no way in this universe that Stockton could be considered for Heisman, much less win it. He cannot even process a football field during the game. I appreciate that everyone loves him on the team, but at some point, his receivers are not going to be happy running around the field for nothing.

Yes Sir absolutely agree with this to. You’re right it’s a long season and I do think the Dawgs will rebound. But Kirby has a steel ball and chain shackled to him greatly reducing his team’s potential. Searls is the ball and Bobo is the chain.

Also Beg & PAY Will Muschamp to come back as DC until they can find a very high quality DC, Then Muschamp can retire if he so desires. Offer him irresistible pay !!

We have allot of veterans on this site. Allot of successful business owners. Allot of upper management people as well. Any true leader will be quick to tell you he’s only as good as the people he surrounds himself with.

The recruiting at UGA has been Great since Kirby !! The TP has had some busts but pretty solid.

It’s NOT the players and that certainly includes Gunner. It’s the assistant coaches !! They are lower mid tier and I’m trying to be nice. Kirby by himself AND the quality of the players have been what has sustained UGA after Dan Lanning and Dan Pittman left !! Isn’t that an irony two Dans were the backbone of the program !!

Throw in Will Muschamp self demoting to an advisor and the quality guys that left to other programs and what’s left is the dregs in the coffee pot !! I’m so sorry but it’s true. Now I don’t Hate Mike Bobo, he was a QB at UGA and actually a pretty good one, he Loves UGA, so he’s a DGD. But he simply doesn’t have what it takes to be OC at a top tier SEC school.

Searls is an antiquated has been. I’m sure he’s a nice person and he’s probably giving his all out of pure pride beyond the $$ he makes but again he simply ain’t cutting it !!
The verdict is still out to some degree on Schumann. Is he Still learning OR have people figured out KS style of defense and how to exploit it ? I certainly hope the later is not the case !!

Now Herbie can lust after Ty Simpson all he wants to. I’m sure it took the cleanup crew a while to clean up his and Chris’s drool. But Simpson has the luxury of a Better O Line especially in pass pro and a Much More innovative and Creative OC. Put Simpson playing for Bobo and I bet he’s not as good as Gunner !!

I fully agree with others here it’s Very likely that Bama will drop one maybe even two more regular season games. FSU didn’t just beat them, they curb stomped them !! Just follow that format.

But that’s Bama’s problem not ours. I sure Hope we will All read on here real soon “Georgia hires former HC of Arkansas Dan Pittman as O Line Coach” You might be able to hear the shouts of joy in outer space. Heck I wouldn’t be opposed at giving big Dan the OC job !! We need coaching upgrades Desperately !! But I don’t know if Kirby will drop his stubbornness and Do it. We’ll see……..P.S. I’d dearly Love for the current coaching staff to make me eat Crow !! It’d be a fine meal !!

Gunner definitely played well enough to win the game, but he doesn’t make the plays Bennett made because he doesn’t use his legs to create explosive plays. Bennett would run to buy time for his receivers to get open, Gunner runs to gain yards but he leaves big plays on the field as receivers come open. There’s no way the UGA TEs shouldn’t have more catches and big plays because they’re matchup nightmares. This team doesn’t have the defense to move the ball methodically down the field, they need to produce explosive plays to score points.

There were highs and lows Saturday night in Athens, as Georgia lost yet another game to Alabama, but held the Tide scoreless in the second half. Click below to read my latest Junkyard Blawg:

    Lol....talk about "overreaction"!

Who the hell is doing all this prognosticating?. Monkeys in a cage throwing at a dartboard?. Or, maybe CNN fact checkers? Lmao

Nope....Alabama cannot maintain the standard, displayed last Saturday...for a whole season. Not a chance. Not this time. Saban is sittin' behind a desk, these days.

And, I'm like Kirby and many others wrt the Heisman and other "National" Awards. The shine is off....The Heisman has lost it's meaning and value...imo. So, I couldn't give a flip, who they give it to. God Bless....may it make a great door stop some day.

Lol...unless Gunner wins it, of course.

As for Saturday....UGA had a bad game....Bama had a great game....End of story. If you take any more from it than that....you aint been around the game very long. I'm just sayin.

These were two, talented Titans, clashing in an early season battle....with one team playing their "A" game and the other shooting itself in the foot at inopportune times.

If this game was played 10 times...UGA wins 8. Imo. The only reason it's not 9 or 10...is because, anybody can have a bad game every 4 or 5 years. Lol

And...It was STILL only a 3-Point Game! Wow....is all I can say. Lol....what happens when UGA hits Ludicrous Speed and plays it's "A" game?! Lol....the Dawgs didn't even hit Warp Speed in the Bama Game.

I just want to point something out, while I'm thinkin' about it....

I visit the ESPN CFB Website...virtually, everyday during football season. And, I've noticed one thing.

The only time you see a UGA Logo...or uniform, player or coach.on their main web page...is if there is something "Negative" to report.

Like Saturday's loss. Who do you think is in the photo?...Cash Jones....not Stockton or Bowens or Frazier. Jones. They are terrified of the SEC taking all the talent and trophies...leaving them irrelevant. Again!

I'm just sayin'....How many ESPN employees and associates Vote in the AP POLL. And, what schools did THEY attend. We know, it wasn't UGA or GT. LOL

I think it's high time, we had transparency in this "voting system" the BIG10/12 have constructed over the last century. Up until now, they've had the final say...in who the so-called champion was, every year.

Now....Even though, we have a playoff....they still insist on using humans to determine which teams get a shot. Why? Because....THAT can be manipulated and corrupted.

Not wanting to replace it with a more reliable method...indicates to me, that a corrupt system is being Protected by the Corrupt. Imagine that...crooks not wanting to admit to being crooked. Lol

We have so many "other" methods, in this day and age, to determine the best 12.

@87Dawg_11 a fair comparison would be Gunner this season vs Stetson in 20 or 22. I would say Gunner is slight better. It’s true that in 22 Stetson was a much better QB. Gunner gets better every game. But lack of playmakers around him & Bobo will keep him from reaching his potential

It's been played 8 times, and UGA has only won 1. Kirby is awesome. And UGA football is as good as it's ever been. But, Kirby's going to have to fire some people if he wants to be elite year in & year out.

We thought all along the elephant in the room(pardon the pun) was Nick Saban, only to find out it's not about him any more. Maybe it never was. Maybe it's something else. DeBore is 2-0 against CKS. WHo in their right mind would have believed that, being a UGA fan?

Imo...though, he's more physical and a "little" bigger...Stockton's game-play reminds me a lot, of Aaron Murray.

I disagree, wrt to the "playmakers" comment. The Dawgs have the best set of skill players, they've had in years.

If Kirby fixes the protection issues...which I think are self created issues and fixable....Stockton and the receiving core are capable of setting records.

Lol...but, we know Kirby won't allow that distraction.

I said..."This game"...with these players and these coaches in this year. Pay attention. Lol....jk.

Last year's team was different as every team in each season...is different. Something the hype'sters don't seem to understand. And, that's NEVER been more true than it is now. Just sayin'.

Yeah...that one's hard to chew on. And, inexplicable.

Which can only mean one thing....Kirby's losing to em on purpose, to keep em in the hunt. 🤣...That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Hanging around and hanging around. I can't believe Kirby keeps givin' Bama Dawg Bones out of UGA's boneyard. This better be the last one...or.…I'll start rooting for the bees to the west to beat em. Or, not.

Lol...The only time I ever pulled for Tech, was the '90 Championship Season. Georgians stick together!
