Changing coaches like underwear is a bad idea. There will be no more Nick Sabans for a good while. Lane Kiffin is right, going to lots of really good 2 loss teams.

Even the 14th ranked head coaching salary in the SEC make 6 mil a year. Being a top 50 coach in College is no longer about trying to get good enough to get into the million a year bracket or even the top 10(used to be not long ago) 3-4 million a year.

What hasnt been said is if you're good enough to land a top 20 coaching job and the program isn't happy with you in 3-4 years they buy you out and cha-ching !! you get a lump sum of multiple coaching years in pay, that goes into your savings vehicle of choice and you can literaly live off the interest the rest of your life, while you take your next coaching position worth 5 mil+ a year! And if you're young enough and talk the game well enough you could possibly repeat that scenario another time!

LIfe is good, not to be great!

And that doesn't factor in all the other perks they get from side hustles like TV commericals.

Is it an easy job? Nope, but the pay ain't too bad.

Dabo has a $60 mil buyout, Clemson didn’t have money for the TP to buy players so no way they spend that type to fire a coach

Funny how these teams hire coaches who have been fired multiple times and then give them an outrageous buyout.
