@1SICemDAWGS1...yeah, I still think there's too much eye test in the Committee's decisions. The argument could definitely go both ways. I think if A&M had won more convincingly in a couple of those games and more consistent play then the rankings might have favored A&M. I also think Mendoza's final unbelievable drive to win the game against the Lions sealed the rankings for Indiana at #2 this week. Again, too much eye test from the Committee.

It will all shake out in the end.

I'm not seeing any reason to put Texas Tech over UGA.

Sure, TT beat BYU, but BYU is super overrated. Their best win (and only win against a ranked opponent) was against Utah who is currently 7-2 and ranked 5th in the Big 12. BYU's has no other wins against ranked opponents.

So, Tech's best win is BYU, a team that is clearly inferior to UGA's best win against Ole Miss. Also, UGA's only loss was against Alabama, a team that is significantly stronger that Texas Tech's loss against 6-3 Arizona State.

It's hard to make any real argument for Texas Tech to be ranked over UGA. Having a better score differential against decidedly inferior competition isn't much of an argument.

I find the cfp ranking interesting to talk about around the water cooler. Who’s good or bad, hot or cold, SoS/SoR. Who still has to play who. All are points to discuss. The proposed bracket posting, however is a waste of ink to discuss. Even if things play out the way they might, those brackets likely change. If osu crushes Iu in B1Gcg, what happens? Or aTm barely squeaks by bama. Ttech has the B12cg to boost their standing or falter.

@1SICemDAWGS1 I am certainly not arguing your position based on such a flawed metric. Here's the point, name another Top 10 team that has played 6 (soon to be7) of the bottom feeders in there respective conference and STILL has a SOS of 16th in the country. There isn't one. Indy has played #4 and #6 conf - Bucknut has #5, #7 conf and nationally #10 on its resume. aTm and Indy are clearly the two most overrated programs this year (it was Miami before they showed their true colors) and that will be vetted out quickly in the playoffs if either don't avoid the L before then. If any of those top 3 teams had played any 4 game combo of Ole Miss, Tenn, Bama, Vandy, Okie or our Dawgs would any of them be undefeated? That's a heck no…SOS and FPI are very flawed algorithms but for now, it and a subjective committee are all we got…

This is all gonna change so much. Every college football season, since Noah stepped off the Arc and said, “finally we get to play some **** football,” there have been upsets that no one saw coming late in November. It always gets crazy the last few weeks of November and championship weekend.

At the end of the day.…the #5 slot will probably go to the SECCG Loser. Which could be UGA, depending. Or, it could be Texas A&M.....or, Ole Miss....or, Bama.

Imo....those are the main 4, in the SEC, right now. Unless something drastic takes place.…and, it could. Afterall....it IS 2025! Lol
