Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Just some random thoughts and info. to kick around for you and our fellow Dawgs fans. OK I realize GT is a fierce rivalry game. Check that box for sure. But that just slid by unranked Boston College by two points.
They lost to NC State and will play Pittsburgh who beat that same NC State quite handily while our Dawgs play super power Charlotte !! 🤣
So from the standpoint of being weary and fatigued, They should be far more so than our Dawgs.
Kirby, Bobo, Schumann can use the Charlotte scrimmage to correct issues, tune things up, and give 2nd and 3rd string players valuable Real Game reps ( I realize our Dawgs probably practice much harder than vs Charlotte). But it is a real game against an unknown opponent in terms of what they might do.
Not trying to be all haughty and arrogant just realistic, we Should be able to defeat Charlotte by a large score without playing a single starter. They are just gonna be far out of their tell of football. Main thing I’m hoping for is no of that word that starts with an I to any of our players !!
Plus I’m sure Hoping we have CJ Allen and Bowens both back by game time vs GT !! I don’t know it it’s enough but if Kirby has to wait until actual game day to announce their return which he Can do as GT is not a conference school. That will have given Both two weeks to heal up though like I said I don’t know if that’s enough.
Lastly even though it’s a heated rivalry game and GT will throw everything they can at our Dawgs. I just think honestly that our Dawgs are significantly Better than they are. Plus I think Kirby has a better feel for Brent Key and his staff now.
I don’t think motivation for our Dawgs will be any problem at all, the hate runs both ways !! All things factored in though Not easy our Dawgs should emerge with a solid win. Go Dawgs !!
OK to give a little clarity to my last comment. Pittsburgh who will play GT this weekend beat Boston College 48-7 when they ( Pitt) played them. Conversely GT barely skimped past them 36-34.
Pittsburgh beat NC St. 53 to 34 when they (Pitt) played them. Conversely GT lost to NC St. 48-36. So there’s a very good probability that Pitt will give GT all they want and then some might even beat GT.
Mean while our Dawgs will correct issues, tune things up, and give out going Seniors and backup players some Real game playing time.
Dawgs should be fresh and very prepared to play GT and WIN when they face them. Go Dawgs !!
CJ will stay involved on the sideline "coaching" his teammates. Just like Nolan Smith did at the end of his CFB career.
Him trying to play in a game that UGA should win easily, w/o him, w/playoffs right around the corner is just not smart.
The real danger, after the chance of reinjury, is now you have Cole, Walker and Williams getting more reps and increasing their chances of injury.
Again it really depends on the severity of the injury. Knees are nothing to mess around with with the playoffs right around the corner.
How soon we forget running Brock Bowers on a TE jet sweep vs a bad Vandy team. Bowers breaks ankle and season goes down the tubes. Totally unnecessary.
"Kudzu"—I think you're right—week to week is more serious than day to day.
