Braves 8-6 winners. Olson still crushing it. Harris officially smoking hot to begin the year. Baldwin should get serious consideration to start the All Star game. Cant be a catcher in the NL playing better than him right now.
Long way to go but this is a dream start.
P.S. The New York Metropolitans won a baseball game.
Great work by the back of the pen tonite too. Young Fuentes recovered after a rough first inning and we had 4 homers. Pretty awesome. Go for the series win tomorrow.
Great win 8-6. Lots of hr's by both teams. Four by the Braves and three by the Nationals.
I'm worried about the Nationals. The stadium looked mostly empty, especially in the outfield. It looked like they barely had 10,000 fans in attendance tonight.
Edit: Attendance 16,308
Braves with an 8.5 game lead over the Mets and Phillies and it's April 22nd. Don't know many who would tell you the Nats or Marlins have a shot.
It cant be this easy can it?
With Perez having to pitch 3 innings after Fuentes, JR Ritchie has been called up to make his major league debut to start today!
It cant be this easy can it?No, I don't think it can. The inevitable slump, hopefully minor, the inevitable injuries are both coming. Plus, the Phils worry me. They are too good to be this bad for long.
Excited to see it. Fingers crossed for the rookie.
Hope he does well! At least last night’s win insures them of another straight series non-loss since the season’s start…..only team in the majors that can boast that!
17-8! Best record in the entire majors! Another comeback win!
What the Braves are doing right now is simply amazing!
I will put my shoe back on, but ready to come off again anytime.
Agreed! but an 8-16 hole is a large one to climb out of……
JR Ritchie still pitching. 4 complete innings - has given up two solo HR's but I think he's a keeper. Game tied 2-2 going into the 5th.
Ritchie finished the 6th inning, giving up just 2 runs. That is a quality start. Top of the 7th and Braves have the bases loaded with one out….
Braves end up winning 7-2 and JR Ritchie gets his first ML win. Great road trip. Back in the ATL tomorrow.
Still haven't lost a series all year. Hoping nothing serious with Harris he is off to such a great start.
