Roger Goodell

I'm watching the NFL draft last night. And I'm amazed at the loud chorus of boos from the audience. What great sin did he commit to be treated like this?

I just don't get it.

Apparently, the fans have been displaying this behavior since 2006 when Goodell replaced Taglibue as Commissioner. The boos get louder each draft. They have a hedgerow of issues; among he is criticized for the way he handles sensitive issues domestic violence, concussion coverups. Also, unsportsmanlike behavior on the field skipping practices, meetings, or any media appearances etc. He seems to take it in stride and encouraging them, after all he is the face of the NFL. Who pays the bills, the fans. 😎

I think it has become a tradition/game that Goodell plays with the crowd. He always says something like "c;mon. You can do better than that. You can get louder". I think NY fans started it. Not sure if it was Giants or Jets fans.

Think of Goodell as the NFL'S , Mike Bobo. Right or wrong he catches S for everything.

I look at it as the owners have the ultimate vote. Not sure what his main role is. Lobbying the owners for changes?

It's the same every year. It's basically tradition now. He seems to love it.
