Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Seriously?! I mean, seriously?
Scott Howard is an incredible supporter of the University of Georgia and is a graduate of the University of Georgia. His calls are legendary and I am unhappy with this change.
I loved Munson and would have kept him forever however, his passing made that impossible. Scott was his analyst and slid into the role perfectly. If you couldn’t recognize his passion in his calls, you were on the wrong station. I wondered why Zeier was replaced. Seems something may have already been brewing.
Munson passed away. Scott Howard was fired. And that sucks.
Danzler should have gotten the job 16 years ago. He had Munson’s endorsement at the time. Howard is pure vanilla. Danzler will bring a depth of knowledge and passion that Howard just doesn’t have. I think people’s support for Howard is based merely on their familiarity with him; after 16 years of hearing his voice he brings a certain unconscious level of comfort to Dawgs fans; they make automatic associations with him and all the good times the past decade.
Take the new tv Braves broadcast team for example. Nothing exactly wrong with them, they are just extremely boring. But if they stay in the booth for a 15 years Braves fans will grow accustomed to them and miss them when they are gone despite being average at their jobs.

we “miss the voice” because we associate it with everything that’s happened in the Kirby era, the same way we associate the autumn weather with college football in general and attending games in Sanford Stadium in particular.
Howard was merely ok. Danzler is an upgrade
Lots of questions here I love Jeff on the pre and post game show with Kevin Butler , however I have to wonder what was the decision making process here? Scott Howard has been very good to great for a long time and the chemistry with Eric and that entire crew was excellent. Just very odd I haven't heard anyone seriously upset with the job Scott was doing….selfishly I would hope Jeff and Kevin continued their show but seems that is not happening …and what happens to Lindsey and Hondo ?? I'm still getting over Munson so this is a lot to swallow.
