- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Sankey is not fighting a losing battle. At least for now.
My opinion is that you have to have bye weeks. And cap it at 14 teams. If 14 is not feasible, then 16 teams tops.
24 teams? Only if the top 10 or so get a bye in the first round. No sense at all in risking injuries and a whole season to get there blown for games that the top teams have a very slim chance of not winning and easily.
Agree!
ACC commissioner Jim Phillips - the guy that was accountable for the illogical math that didn’t put Miami in his own conference championship game???
Seriously doubt any move happens without SEC buy-in.
I think they're going in the wrong direction...cap it at 8, imo. If the best is what we're actually looking for.
Seems they're just hungry for a "Cinderella Season"....by somebody that has no business in a D1 CFP.
I just wonder....how far They are willing to go...to "make that happen"?.
number only goes up. It’s never going back down. So the powers that be better find a number that’s sustainable.
Personally I think six would’ve been fine, but I wouldn’t go any higher than 16 now. No bye weeks.
One way to stop this insanity, look at England’s model. The top flight (Premier League) caps the number of clubs via a relegation system. Every season the bottom three get busted back to a lower class and top-3 lower league clubs promote up, with the $$$ flowing both directions. End of season fight to avoid relegation makes for great games!
I hate everything about this. These cowards (Philips and Yormark) are lying to people's faces and pretending they're not. In no world are there 24 teams capable of winning a championship. This is about $$ and the ability for mid-tier teams (and their conferences) to say "look! we made the playoff!". Simple as.
