Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:

- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

With totally pay to play now, KS is doing his best with the budget he has been given. With the days of picking the best coach and development behind us I agree with the author our days may be numbered. My feeling is this will get old for KS very soon and no telling when or where he will go. Saban got out at the right time. The one time greatest game in sports has been ransacked by NIL and the portal and impossible challenge of managing player movement. The thrill of being a college football coach is long gone unless you possess the biggest piggy bank.
Interesting comments. Two contradictory points of view.
Man oh man, I can see both points of view, but, like everyone else (with the possible exception of Kirby Smart) I don't have a crystal ball. I'm really afraid college football might be ruined, but I hope not.
As I see it, the old system was flawed, but the fix as it currently exists has kinda thrown the baby out with the bath water.
It's hard for me to think this, or say this, but the time may come when you and I don't care about college football anymore. If "they" completely ruin it, and fans lose interest, what happens next?
Go, Dawgs!
Like many other Georgia Bulldogs fans, I was introduced to UGA fandom by my father. And succeeding generations of our family have continued that tradition! Click below to read a special Father's Day edition of the Junkyard Blawg.
