Dawgs off to a strong 7-1 start. This could be a great year for the basketball team, too. We have had some wins over some impressive teams.

What wins are that? Please tell me out of these teams which ones are impressive: Bryant, USC-Upstate, Texas A&M CC, Cal State Fullerton, St. Mary's, Marquette and Winthrop? Maybe Marquette and St. Mary's but those are not BIG wins against really tough teams. Combined 29-36 overall opp record. Not strong at all. Plus the might 4-5 Umass team rolling in should be really tough.

UGA basketball won't ever be consistently good as long as they continue to only get 2 and 3 star players when the state is loaded with 4 and 5 star players. Can't win the BIG games and they haven't with those type players they continue to recruit.

That's cause neither team is very good. UGA hasn't played anyone(cupcake schedule) honestly and Ga Tech can't get out of their way.

I agree. This could be a great year for the team: the changes at Stegman, very good team, a solid coach, and a great start. I’m looking forward to the rest of the season.

Umass just beat Providence, so If UGA can pull off the win against UMASS? I'd say it'd be a pretty exciting start to the season going into the GT game. SEC is looking a bit improved, so I would say 10 wins in SEC play can easily get the Bulldogs into the dance.

Even the one loss was against a team that will and has been in the tournament. Win the non conference games and go .500 or above will get them in the dance. Also winning a couple games in the SEC tournament will boost their chances.

Winthrop was a tournament team last year, St. Mary's was a top 25 team when we beat them, and Marquette was a good road win. Stop being a little ****. This is the best start UGA basketball has had in some time.

Not being anything other than honest. Very weak schedule and plus an SEC school playing at UMASS? You don't see UK or FL or any other major program doing something like that. UGA basketball is what it always will be, average. And the sad part is that it shouldn't be that way with all the talent in this state.

You're right, UK is busy playing blue blood programs such as Utah Valley, Troy, East TN State, Fort Wayne, and UIC.

Florida likewise scheduled powerhouses such as Gardner-Webb North Florida, New Hampshire, and Loyola.

UGA is the only team that schedules weak OOC games.

Didn't say that. Said those programs aren't going to those schools like UGA is going to UMASS.

Georgia going to Umass is part of the deal to schedule the football game. UMASS always does this to get home basketball games against bigger schools.

We have a solid OOC schedule. It’s consistent with other SEC and tournament teams. You seem hung up on UMass. The Dawgs will have a very strong resume come March. A 7-1 start is impressive and has us in a good spot. Don’t be a DB.

Great showing right now at UMASS. Such a tough place to play, has to be. Absolutely ridiculous that this game is so one sided. A 5-5 UMASS team is embarrassing a SEC school. What an embarrassment.

Unbelievable to lose to UMass. That’s a very bad lose and embarrassing for the SEC.
