Who can tell me about this year's UGA Baseball team?

I love baseball. I don't have much optimism however for this team. Get me pumped up and tell me why I should look forward to the 2018 BaseDawgs.

I really thought Stricklin was an excellent hire at the time. He'd had good success, he said all the right things and he got a lot of facility improvements done.
Apparently he was promoted one too many times.
I notice both Stricklin and Fox use words like hopefully, maybe and could be now.

Word is the team is “soft”.

I heard a lot of quiet jokes about “the team got outback catered in after they got slaughtered last night...”
Last year when I was with some “other sport staffers”

I’m going Sunday after church and will give you a little feedback afterwards.

@WCDawg @bmauldin Thanks. Looks like they are mounting a comeback against Southern after quickly getting behind 0-7. I don't know a great deal about our pitchers or our defense in general.

Tony Locey, who had a mixed freshmen year (2017) looks good tonight. Expected from a top pitcher coming out of highschool in Georgia and No. 51 overall prep prospect nationally

It’s just like watching the basketball team. Pull you in just to be let down.

Georgia is crushing Georgia Southern tonight. 20 runs so far for Dawgs tonight.

I tried out for the team and did not get a walk-on offer. Therefore, I am salty and will not be paying attention to UGA baseball this year.

They looked good tonight. Has some fundamental issues but what young team doesn’t.

Fill us non-baseball types in. What types of issues?

    I feel ya.
I offered my services as HC and McGarity never even returned my call.
It's true I never played the game in an organized league past Little League and I've never coached at any level, but I offered to take the job at 25% of what Stricklin is making. He has never had a winning record at UGA, I could just about guarantee to match that result.

Wish McGarity had returned your call. Aside from the one coach he was forced to hire you probably would be an upgrade to the Georgia HCs.

Kind of echoing @bmauldin but they haven't seemed to play with any passion from what I've been limited to see. But that was 3 years ago. Haven't kept up much since then

Emerson Hancock on mound today. 11-1 with 0.75 ERA last year, 1st inning looked good today.

Looks like a pitchers' duel today. Headed to 7th, no score. Dawgs have only allowed 2 hits.
