Well....I've been a suffering Falcons fan since about 1978, so believe me....I know what eff-ups and futility is all about. Especially during the time Rankin Smith owned the team. Back then, the fans used to refer to him as Jed Clampett.

@Red_N_Black , @Kasey , @UnderDog68 OH MY GOSH!!! THAT IS SO Atlanta (all of these examples y'all have listed in this thread)... y'all know what??, I kind of now believe that the Cleveland Browns DO actually help to KEEP a LOT of the NFL futility, laughing stock, & "dumpster fire" jokes off of the Atlanta Falcons, but just barely....

In defense of Cleveland (because they drafted Nick Chubb), the writer gave Cleveland a C+ in the draft and Atlanta a C, so the ATL needs to lie in the bed it made.

@FirePlugDawg I know that Nick Chubb will forever be a DGD. My only hope is that he stays healthy & that his time in Cleveland does not get him hurt. Miraculously, I love to see him one day in the Atlanta Falcons backfield

If we can go back through past drafts and find where a UGA player(s) was available (while also having the appropriate round draft grade) and fit a position of need and didn't get picked, then we can maybe further this argument. But I can't think of any off the top of my head without researching for awhile.

The post just ahead of you gave the classic such example. The entire state was screaming bloody murder when the Birds passed on Hampton to draft Broussard. I think he was the first player in Pac10 history to have 1000 yard rushing and receiving in the same season., but hooey phooey on all of that. They should have taken Hampton.
