Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I like Evans but I wouldn’t try to apply too much logic to his recruitment decisions 😂
Lincoln Riley directly affects:
2020- Jace McClellan, Mikey Henderson, Andrew Raym
2021- Brock Vandagriff
Pretty good group looking at it all mapped out. Probably a good idea to look at what we have instead of what we’re losing or don’t get in this recruiting class
Sorry about above... not sure why they just posted.
Similarly, there has also been some talk about half of Ole Miss's players being more loyal to Luke than to the school. QBs Corral and Plumlee (yes, please) could come into play, as could WR Elijah Moore (he has shown he has maturity issues, so only if all the other WR we think we are getting do not pan out).
To me, an ideal scenario would be to hire Luke as an "analyst" and get Plumlee with him.
I don't believe it is appropriate to "off topic" discussions about potential transfers. IMO, Wolf and Cager were not on the team in 2018, they took scholarships away from potential freshmen, thus they were 2019 commits.
I think their scholarships actually count against 2020 but the point still stands
Do you think he might enter the draft? Has he put enough on tape to warrant such a move? I feel like he's just starting to come into his own and would benefit from another year. I'm with you though, hoping he stays for that senior season.
Since the topic has been breached (mods feel free to move to a different thread), Plumlee would be an odd fit at UGA based on Ole Miss stats. He took over Corral's share of snaps by the end of the year, but they were still sharing time. However, he was definitely a run first qb.
Passing: 150 attempts, 910 yards, 4 tds, 3 ints
Rushing: 154 attempts, 1,023 yards, 12 tds
Argument could be made that the players around him didn't provide the opportunity for better passing stats and that UGA could. But if we were to recruit him to UGA, would it be purely as a change of pace backup to Fromm and then [insert 2020/2021 recruit of choice] or would the sell be that we actually see him as the starting UGA qb?
ETA: How would we recruit Plumlee if we wanted him to commit for 2020? (on topic!)
I'd rather have Mathis than Plumlee.
I'll take Dwan's size over Plumlee.
yea he ran for 200 yards on LSU.
the kid is fast, but I don't know if he is the better fit for a Kirby Smart offense.
Isn’t the conversation about Plumlee moot? IIRC, he wants to play baseball as well and Kirbybwas not on board with that plan. Unless that’s changed on one side or the other, I don’t think he’d come here.
Though seeing him in our backfield certainly would be fun.
Playing college football and baseball is certainly doable if player is talented enough.
But it is very unrealistic to think a D1 QB could do it.
(Yes.....I'm aware of Elway)
Yeah, I agree. I just think Kirby wants the football team focused on football.
Jameis Winston did it a lot more recently.
Great point.
But I have a feeling he was given more preferential treatment than most. He certainly was in certain areas.
