Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

QB2, probably still a LB. Easiest thing to say is BPA. Watching the offers go out now.
Sounds like Coach Hartley is on board the Beck Train
Feels as if Kirby has one more flip in him somewhere
edit: not cryptic, but just something that I believe could happen
The longer this goes the worse for us imo. We were told we had him, knowing that he wasn’t necessarily “in love” with us. We were still a ideal fit.
Personally, I don’t think we win this having spent our OV equity previously. Haven’t been told that just reading tea leaves. Lets say momma completely allows him to make the choice now:
Just think now that the pick has been made, it’s even harder to get him off of that initial pick. I think he sticks.
That’s because we are bringing in Paul Johnson as our OC and don’t need a TE. /s
I really like Beck a lot. And especially like his measurables.
I would have liked to have seen another QB in the class to increase the odds that one would be special......but it certainly doesn't mean Beck won't be. I like his odds.
You said “Jackson” - did you mean “Broderick Jones”?
@SoFL_Dawg does The Major have any coffee left to drink? Asking for a friend ....
We may not get Burch, but we did manage a few flips on some big names unlike these ditch lizards.
Out of tea bro. Jackson has to OV. BPA possibility. May even look at in state RBs. Some folks could get their wish instate.
We don’t know yet but confident Jackson is a priority and I think more so missing on Burch.
I guess missing on JB and not having that back up on the roster means we give the full court press on KF in '21
The relevant rules are.
15.02.9 Recruited Student-Athlete. For purposes of Bylaw 15, a recruited student-athlete is a student-athlete who, as a prospective student-athlete: (Adopted: 1/15/11 effective 8/1/11, Revised: 4/25/18)
(a) Was provided an official visit to the institution's campus;
(b) Had an arranged, in-person, off-campus encounter with a member of the institution's coaching staff (including a coach's arranged, in-person, off-campus encounter with the prospective student-athlete or the prospective student-athlete's family members); or
(c) Was issued a National Letter of Intent or a written offer of athletically related financial aid by the institution for a regular academic term.
15.5.1.10.1 Limitation on Number of National Letter of Intent/Offer of Financial Aid Signings -- Bowl Subdivision Football. [FBS] In bowl subdivision football, there shall be an annual limit of 25 on the number of prospective student-athletes who may sign a National Letter of Intent or an institutional offer of financial aid and student-athletes who may sign a financial aid agreement for the first time. (Adopted: 1/16/10 effective 8/1/10, Revised: 1/14/12 effective 8/1/12, 4/26/17 effective 8/1/17 for signings that occur on or after 8/1/17)
The only way I can see that possibility is if Zirkel signed a contract as a preferred walk-on (no financial aid) if that even exists and not sure if it could be binding. He definitely can't be put on scholarship prior to August 1st and be a 2021 initial
Ever hear anything about in house players developing at that twitchy athlete, 5T position to soften the blow on recent misses??
Zion Logue was someone I’d hoped might show something there.
Do the last 2-3 names come out of this group?
McKinley Jackson
Demon Clowney
Andy Boykin
Jaymer Gibbs
Ashaad Clayton
Daijun Edwards
Cory Wren - unsigned/uncommitted
Yeah I know that staff feels good on him. That so far he’s the other potential breakout player from 19 DL, but he’s 3T build. Not sure he’d be a consistent 5T+.
Still think we need that guy, but I’m not sure there’s others available this class.
