As we sit TODAY (2019 Roster) of the 85 IMO we need 1 additional OL, 2 add WR and 1 too many each at DL/OLB, ILB and DB.
These are position players only (doesn't include 2 scholly kickers). The "need" is with the loss of the players who will be out of eligibility. Any early draftees and/or transfers would need to be replaced to maintain roster balance. For that reason I think the need is for 1QB (Fromm), 2RB (Swift), 5OL (Wilson, Thomas and min 1 other) 4WR and 2TE. Defensively, I would go with 5 DL/OLB, 1 LB (transfer) and 3DB (Richie and 1 transfer). Obviously I may think different if I were privy to the same knowledge as Kirby and Co.
I actually have zero ILB and 4 DB in my mock as of June 1.
With the add of a kicker I think we will get 24 with one being a Blue Shirt; most likely either the Kicker or a local (Ga) positional player who has not yet been on an OV. So we may see only 23 LOI but 24 enroll by end August.
When staff isn’t interested, they don’t offer or they slow play. Very evident in this cycle.
As the season progresses, they will gauge Stokes and LeCounte specifically. If these players play up to their potential and lean towards declaring they’ll be an adjustment and a 4th DB would be taken.
For now CB is “set”. I think the 3rd spot goes to a safety/CB hybrid with Thompson Jr /Avantae Williams being the most mentioned players in recent weeks. We trail on one and even on the other if not a lead there. For now, we think based on what we’re hearing 1 LB, 2 DBs (additional). That’s a change from 2 ILBs earlier in the year.
Rosemy is the front runner to land the second WR spot. Staff has told Rosemy he’s reminds them of a more explosive Riley Ridley at this same point in their careers. Robinson and Rosemy gives staff the physicality and playmaking combo they’d be looking for.
For now we still believe 3 WRs taken with the third spot being filled by Henning/Wren/Arian Smith. All are tremendous athletes and al have been told staff sees variations of Mecole Hardman in their game. Regardless of ranking, I do feel Smith is the elite athlete here capable of playing both offense and defense but Wren reminds me most of Hardman. Henning is probably the most ready to contribute currently.
This is my 6/1 mock. note the last line

B BranchD Green-WarrenIf Flowe is a go then we drop Burroughs (doubtful) or Green-Warren
Thomas, Wilson, Cleveland, and Kindley are the ones that could declare early. I believe Hayes is the only senior. So lose 5 through the draft and eligibility. No idea on who would transfer but losing 7 would require picking up at least 6 this cycle.
On the subject of RB some have said that we won't get Milton and Evans due to the depth in the RB room. I would point out that in 2014 we got Chubb and Michel even though TG3 and Marshall were only rising Juniors (2012 Class). Let's hope that history repeats!
I like the mock. On OL I think a player who can potentially be a C will be prioritized if the number stays at 5 (this is based on very recent chatter). For that reason I like Van Pran there. If 6, I like both SVP and Raym and this likely subtracts 1 from WR.
Trusting staff on confidence with Burch but there is zero chatter coming out there. The confidence remains however so it’s blind faith in staff with Burch.
I do not believe Green-Warren gets in unless Williams tells staff no and I don’t think that’ll happen. Williams game is very similar to LeCounte.
Add a ILB. I think it’ll be Sewell as of today but Flowe looms large here.
Staff is very high on Burroughs FWIW. This one needs to play out.
Cliche alert, TE is likely the most fluid position on board. It is believed that there’s zero separation between the staffs top 3-4 targets, however as Gilbert is a local kid, he’s being prioritized. We do think it’s a first 2 to commit and shut down situation here.
@Denmen185. Depth chart is not frowned upon by Milton or Evans. Keep in mind that staff is prepping to lose Fromm after the 19 season. Whoever the QB is in 20, the offense production will look similar to that of 17 where it’s 60%+ run game as they ease that QB into the fold. There will be plenty of carries to go around.
Zeus will be in money year and likely the starter.
Cook will get meaningful carries but it’s unrealistic today to think he’ll avg. 10+ carries at any point for UGA. He’ll get touches, not carries necessarily.
Kenny will get carries and he is better than Herrien and Holyfield ant this point in careers.
Milton and Evans will push for the two deep with Milton likey being primed to roll based on size, style, and EE.
Both Zeus and Cook are likely gone after 20 season barring injury.
