- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Is this a case of the local Texas interests interfering in Evans’ recruitment.
Evans was going to make a surprise commitment two weeks ago until “someone” leaked it and spoiled the surprise. This last week, on the day he was rumored to be making his announcement, the news changes to his “in house” suspension by his HS coach. Don’t know his background, but I hope he is not Linked to any rival school. There does not appear to be a strong support system helping him manage all the frenzy from being ESPN #1 HS player.
Sounds like Evans really likes Georgia and it’s structure and that he needs to get away from Texas for a fresh start.
Maybe Evans Commits at ND game!
This place needs an exorcism and a Ringo update.
The AD getting involved certainly suggests that the coach or coaches may also have some fault. But the fault seems to be how coaches reacted to the outburst.
But it is never ok for a player to react the way Zach reacted. His actions cannot be justified or lessened. Certainly not because we, as fans, want him to be our RB.
Again, I'm in no way suggesting that Zach isn't a take or that he can't recover from this and come out stronger on the other side - but certainly can't be blown off and not a concern. I certainly believe and hope that he can still thrive at Georgia.
I have missed the details about what exactly happened. I will go back and find out. Several years ago, I witnessed Coach McGee sit down a #1 ranked RB for several key plays in a high school playoff game. The kid even had private security guard escorting him on and off the field separate from team.Hype and outside pressure, but Coach McGee stood strong and kept teaching the kid the right way to act. Evans needs Coach McGee or someone like him to get through this process.
Good insight. (Honestly... not sarcasm)
The reason you missed it is because it hasn’t fully come to light.
Speculation and conjecture. Jury is forming without being informed... jmho
Couldn't get the quote off screen. And decided not to send what I was going to send.
Back to recruiting.
All I wanna know is, if for whatever reason we don’t get Evans, can you please fill us in on the intel as to why? I feel like this incident cools all schools down with him. Obviously we’re still a great fit, but I hope the prolong announcement doesn’t give another school an opportunity to get in his ear. Regardless, I hope things get better for him and that he doesn’t feel so much pressure to stay #1. That most likely is a main reason for the blow up. #1 back and feeling underutilized while down. He’s competitive. Doesn’t want to lose, but would much rather lose with the ball in his hands. That’s how I interpret it.
Sorry for continuing the conversation. Was just catching up. I think we get 2 commits out of ND and possibly Walker this weekend.
Next to commit Z Walker
Along those lines @texdawg said "But it is never ok for a player to react the way Zach reacted. His actions cannot be justified or lessened." And something similar earlier. I thought I kept up with what has been reported. Didn't think the details have come out. I hope you are successful @BarkingDawg
I go back to what I said earlier. If he wasn't kicked off the team or something similar, with one incident, there is nothing to see here - pending further info.
I am in need of some recruiting info..
only insider recruiting info I can share is that Georgia will have a top 3 recruiting class and most likely #1 or #2. Patience.
this will even be a more historical class for Georgia than 2017
The fact that Evans was involved in a high speed chase is definitely crazy, but the coaches should never have put on those scream masks and broken into his home to make that point.
Only one pictured here. Tip from Gail Hailstorm?
I would be very surprised if Arik Gilbert committed to Tennessee after their loss to BYU.
And TERRIBLE play calling!!!!!
