Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Tropical depression
Tropical depression forming near Yucatan peninsula expected to be a cat1 hurricane by Thursday. Will affect gulf coast between Nola and Pensacola. Could have an effect on Saturday ball game.

Tell em we need the super dome then lol
Looks like Hurricane Michael will have no impact at this point in Baton Rouge, but will impact practice in Athens this week and my wife's golf outing in Atlanta Thursday. We can blame her for sending her clubs via FedEX from Richmond this weekend.
The IFP will be a huge benefit with the rain forecast and being able to create more simulated crowd noise inside compared to outside.
Current forecast for Baton Rouge Saturday is Sunny / 81 Degrees / 0% chance of rain / 6 mph from the east
Hope you are right. Will seem downright frigid to our Dawgs who are used to those hot practices. Of course, so is LSwho.
Thanks for the heads up. I hadn't seen this. Trying to figure out if this will impact my Thursday flight to Baton Rouge...
Should be no issue unless there is a drastic change. We are under no watches down here on the Ms. Gulf Coast
Another update at 5PM. Watch that, but the 2PM modeling shows it in the panhandle of FL on Wed and around Macon Thur. AM. Friday or Wednesday flights might work better out of ATL, but I would watch the updates tonight and tomorrow for changes.

You can see most of the 72s in SC. So, that is Thur afternoon at 2PM. Most of the models have it kicking out pretty fast after that, so Thursday night could be OK, and Friday should be fine. These things are known to change their minds quickly, though, so be ready to audible at the LOS! GLTA.
Tropical storm watch now for us. Still should be no issue unless a drastic change takes place
Outstanding thread!
Update--Looks like this AM's models have Michael over the heart of GA on Thursday AM about school bus time. They have it moving faster, so it should leave as abruptly as it came. I would think there will be flights out of ATL on Thursday night, but the schedule could be messed up because of the east coast. BHM through HOU to MSY could be an option Thursday, if you really want to get there on Th. Friday should be fine on weather, but the problem here for people to take note of is the winds are predicted to be pretty high on Thursday over Georgia. Wind damage is a concern on this one, particularly if you are on the southeast side of the storm track. If it winds up going over Macon, just southeast of the track could get a lot of damage. Today and early tomorrow are the best times to secure your homes! GLTA!
