Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

what do coaches w/ all their gear when they switch to a new school?

Someone like Smart has nearly a decades worth of gear from Alabama, Grantham has been at a dozen schools, etc
They can't wear it anymore, not even cutting the grass or anything. Seems wasteful to throw some of it away but I guess it happens
I have always wondered what coaches, and in the NFL the players, do with all that gear when they go to a new team

I was going to make a joke about Chaney and sailboats but just can't bring myself to it
I’m assuming it goes to Goodwill before they leave town. If they just throw it away that’s a waste.
I’ve always wondered this too. I think Mark Richt has a Georgia belt on at his Miami press conference.
If it were me I’d put it on eBay and donate the money to charity
I was def. thinking auctioning or donating would be the way to go
auctioning would only work if the coach left on good terms ha I doubt Art Briles stuff would raise much money
My wifes uncle works for Georgia State Patrol and was Richts escort for home games and when Richt got fired he gave all his UGA gear to him. Pretty cool!
He will never be wanting for straw hats
I bet richt puts on UGA duds and shades sits down with a cold one and longs for the old days
Some donate it to charities some give it away would be my guess
Got to start the fire pit some how
I know when McElwain left a Florida, a lot of shark-skin g-strings went up on eBay.
There were a few for sure. Bought the wife one
If this was your alias, I would dv
This is my old friend, Dave. He's been with CMR on recruiting trips this fall. Maybe he'll get CMR's green and orange stuff (soon?).
FWIW: Dave says CMR is genuinely the nicest guy on the planet.
Like most employers, UGA Athletic Association requires employees return all logowear upon termination. The new coach gets the hand me downs to pass along to his new staff or wear himself....this is actually where the phrase walk a mile in his shoes originated....true story
CMR may be the nicest guy on the planet, but he’s wearing white pants after Labor Day. He’s lost control of Miami’s fashion scene!
