National Take A Hike Day

donmdonm Posts: 10,241 ✭✭✭✭✭ Graduate

What a versatile day. You can actually take a hike, or in the spirit of a DGD, tell someone from UF, UT, AU or UA to take a hike. I assume you can use this in place of telling someone to kick rocks.
As an alternate, it is also National Homemade Bread Day. Nothing quite like homemade bread in the winter. Tastes great and makes the house smell wonderful at the same time. Any good recipes you'd like to share would be welcome. As kids we were "allowed" to knead the dough (shades of Tom Sawyer). Today that might be considered a good "exercise" for the hands/wrists.

I never made my own bread, but it seeemed like a lot of work watching my mom do it.

Now days the bread machine kneads the dough. Good job on the topic choice though. If there was an on topic flag you would get one. Now I'm gonna go take a hike.
