Jeez, people are really mad he got a new truck at the same time he committed to the G. It could've been a graduation present from his family. I read that his dad was a shoreman for Savannah International Port or something. If that's true, he makes well over 100 grand a year. But even if UGA bought the truck, who cares? Nobody bat's an eye when the Alabama 5*'s get a new Benz and Nick Saban owns a dang Mercedes dealership.

If both of my kids had gotten a full ride (tuition, books, room & board) I would have saved about $15k per year for each one. That could have bought or leased a nice vehicle for my kids had I so desired to reward them for earning a full ride.

The guy you’re talking to on Twitter is completely aware there’s a very good chance Nolan didn’t get the truck from UGA. None of the plenty of other 5*’s we recruited got any kind of vehicle.
He just wants to believe one thing. So it doesn’t matter what you tell him.
What’s really fun is there’s way more people like that who follow politics than there are in the sports world. And this being a democracy, the people’s opinions actually matter to some extent.
