Best Burgers?
besides the ones grilled in your backyard, who has the best burgers in your opinion? where are you go to places?
Athens would be Catch 22 for me. If you haven't been there I suggest it and I suggest getting the chef's pick
Savannah GA is a place called Bens bar and grill. It is not downtown and off the beaten path. Most people in this area know of crystal beer parlor, B&D and Green truck.... but Bens takes the cake for me.
There is a place in thomasville GA called George and Louies that is well worth the stop and their entire menu is great, not just the burgers
Atlanta: Vortex and Ann's snack bar. Six feet under also has great burgers and a lot more on the menu than just burgers. Just north of atlanta would be Moxie Burger
let's hear it... where are these great burgers???

@PharmDawg2054 One of my favorite things about George & Louie's was their old fashioned cash register. You could go there for lunch five days in a row, order the same thing each day, and pay a different amount every time. It was all a question of which keys George (or one of his daughters, all of whom were beautiful BTW) happened to hit when they were ringing you up.
Like I said on another thread, great memories.
Lots of great burger joints in Atlanta but I'm partial to Yeah Burger on the West Side.
yeah burger is worth the trip for sure
Pops Kitchen in Sylvania has a dang good burger too.
Whiskey Bar in Augusta
Jack’s #2 in Dublin
Baileys BBQ just south of Chatt can cook a delicious bacon cheeseburger, if you’re not craving some mighty fine pulled pork.
Tell me more about Jacks. DD has a ball tournament there in a couple weeks
i head through sylvania sometimes, ill have to check it out
Smoke on the Water in Greenville, SC.
If y’all find yourselves passing through Bainbridge the best burgers are 1. The American (high end gourmet burger) or 2. Betty’s Cafeteria (soul food buffet place). Both places have great fries too. You can’t have a great burger without great fries to accompany!
Mugshots Grille and Bar home base Hattiesburg Ms, several locations in my area
I defeated the Double Coronary Bypass Burger at The Vortex. Best burger I've ever had.
Never much cared for the way joints like The Vortex decorate burgers with more chit than a christmas tree Eggs have no place on a burger. Neither does chili, wing sauce, or BBQ sauce. The Vortex has a burger with peanut butter on the menu. That’s disgraceful.
I like the burgers at George’s, next to Moe’s and Joe’s on N Highland, and the half priced Tuesday special at Highland Tap is great bang for the buck.
Just give me a regular hamburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, maybe bacon, or a mushroom and swiss. Medium rare
Clocked in Athens can't be beat. Great burgers and onion rings as well as fries. Dang I'll be glad to get off of this diet and eat there again!
Way back in the 70's, I attended ASU In Tempe, AZ. We would go to this burger joint called the Chuckbox. Nothing fancy. You'd order your food and they'd bring it out to you.
Grilled over an open Mesquite fire. I always remember how great they tasted.
