Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

On Evans, this was just shared with me as well. I’m posting it because it’s coming from outside of UGA circle from a TX guy.
Its from 247, TX beat writer Mike Roach
“Called him generational, and when asked about a leader, he was feeling the Dawgs, followed by LSU, and OU.”
This was stated on 247 as. Well
You called it ;-)
how would you rank the following running backs? Zach Evans, Trey Sanders, Kendall Milton, John Emery
1) Emery - he was special (will be for LSU too) and reminded me of Zeus/Gurley
2) Evans - reminds me of Dalvin Cook
3) Milton - Dell likes him and he hasn't steered us wrong yet
4) Sanders - still not sold on him, but I do think he will have a Damien Harris type career at Alabama (good, not great)
Word is UGA and bAMA officials for Milton are switching weekends. Great news for the dawgs. Not confirmed, but would be great!!
Edit:From 247 btw
Yeah that’s what I was saying lol.
Where would you place Zeus in that ranking? Looking at the 247 rating from that year he was pretty high (.9957), wonder how much that senior year injury dropped him. Either way, would he slide in at first based on HS film?
Think I agree with this. Emery’s power and elusiveness was special.
I recall reading Evans already squatting 500+ lbs as well, but his tape demonstrates elusiveness moreso than power in my untrained eye. He dances behind the LOS as well, probably won’t get away with that in college and certainly not UGA’s style but talent is undeniable.
Milton would likely finish last in a skill test of these 4, but arguably best suited for our system. Through training, if he can get to a high 4.5-6 speed, his one cut downhill style resembles that of some of our best backs in recent memory.
Sanders-good to great back. Did not look good AA game and I’ve never watched IMG play. He would’ve been great in our system but I think he likely is not going to be as productive as these other guys.
I'd put Zeus at #1 one above Emery based on HS film alone. His film is the best I've seen in the past 10+ years (including Gurley's), but who knows how two knee injuries will affect him physically and perhaps more importantly mentally.
#1 easily imo. Best tape of HS back to ever come to UGA. Im not counting HW because recruiting rankings didn’t exist then and HW is the college RB GOAT.
If Zeus is 90% of what he was, he’s going to reshuffle many UGA favorite RB discussions. Especially with this OL. This year could be special. Everything I’m hearing is this GAM looks legit but doesn’t have that lateral explosiveness that he had coming out of HS. If that comes back, “thank you for coming and good night.”
