National Black Cow Day

One of my all time favorites as a kid. We always used Dad's Old Time Root Beer along with vanilla ice cream. Hard to beat. I guess some called them root beer floats, but to us they were always Black Cows.
It's also National Egg Roll Day. Pretty good eatin right there. Something to write home about which is good since its also National Ball Point Pen Day. Imagine life without a ball point pen.

My son makes some badass egg rolls. He usually has to roll and fry at least 100 otherwise he's just wasting time.
@donm Truly brought backs some good memories. Root beer floats were always my favorite. I remember going into "Drug Stores" as they called them back then with a soda fountain bar. Just like a diner and they served "fountain" drinks. Flavored syrup and seltzer water and root beer floats were a treat. They started fazing out in the mid to late 60's, but we still had the A&W drive in that had the best burgers and root beer. Nothing like an A&W burger with their root beer float for desert. Sitting in the car with a "car hop" bringing you every order... Thanks for the memories!!
ghostofuga1, thanks for bringing back some memories of when a root beer float was 20 cents. I remember going to A&W getting root beer with my other 16 year old friends and getting high on the root beer. Never any hangovers or DWI's but lots of fun.
