Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

You do realize we got two commitments last week ?
And potentially will have anywhere from 1-3 more by the end of this week.
Everything is fine.
What I hope is that we, collectively, create the kind of of goodwill towards AO that will verify UGA actually loved him as a person and not just an OL. I think the kid made a great and mature decision to be near his ailing mother...especially since the NCAA has already shown us that if you find out later you need to be near ailing family, they don't care if you need to move. cough cough Luke Ford
I disagree with feeling we lost mo. How many schools can say they filled 2 positions of need, captured the #6 WR in country (borderline 5 star player), top 3 fastest player in the country, a five star kicker, and a versatile OL that was the top OL target for two rivals.
Just saying, enjoy the ride...we’re taking the scenic route.
Anyone feeling antsy today should just cash out their 401k.
(Serious questions, I’m new to following recruiting closely)
”The staff learned a lot from the recruiting stories of Bertrand, Chaney, Griffin and Perry. All of those guys committed to Georgia well in advance or at least well before the end of their junior seasons.
Remember the days of Caleb Tannor, Javeon Becton, Donovan Georges and Elijah Moore? The national recruiting pull is a real thing. UGA can take its time.
That's why 2021 is so slow coming down the track. There's no need to pile up that class in-state or anywhere when it might mean to throwing a lot of those recruitments into reverse.
Bulldogs could have several in-state 2021 commits right now. But there's no need to. Better to wait and see how all of these guys develop.”
I would say things are going as planned and still only one legit miss this cycle.
I'm greedy though and want all the recruits, lets just throw one more in the mix now to shift focus back to something positive about the program.
One thing that we have going for us as far as perception goes is that the JJ news came out Friday afternoon...Idk if it was a newsdump or just coincidence but there's a reason bad news comes out on fridays in all walks of life.
Ol Finebaum tried to make a big deal out of it on Friday and while I get Connor going on there for the news, Tony "I don't claim to be a UGA fan unless someone wants me to be one" Barnhart did a great job of telling Pawl how "the Dawg fans are feelin". Apparently we're just waiting for the other shoe to drop now..good to know..lol.
BTW, did y'all get a survey or questionaire from Barnhart? He must have really been gatherin up that info and making spreadsheets to be able to tell Paul how all of Dawgnation was feeling so quickly...
It shows what the program will be about under Kirby. Get into a bar fight, we’ll handle it internally. Smoke a lil weed, we’ll get you some help and handle it internally. Get arrested behind the wheel, we’ll get you some help and handle it internally. Put your hands on a woman, you will no longer represent UGA football. I think Kirby is respected more today, by recruits and their families than he was on Friday. He dismissed his best WR for the 19 season knowing that he wasn't content with the performances of the WR corp this spring. It wasn’t about football and I think that message resonates deeply when it comes down to the “family feel” the recruits are looking for.
There are coaches in the SEC that would’ve tried a different approach, but a man who stands for nothing will fall for anything.
