Ok guys let’s step back and think for a second. If Burch is REALLY down to UGA & SCAR then is there REALLY a question as to where he ends up once it’s time to sign (December) and SCAR has gone 6-6 or 7-5 while UGA is in the CFP. IMO as long as UGA does what each one of us expects them to do this season (make the CFP), then we have nothing to worry about as far as Burch is concerned. The drive from Columbia to Athens isn’t that bad 6-7 times a year, especially if UGA is playing for something and SCAR isn’t.
@texdawg wrote a great post about his recruitment and what goes into kids decisions. As fans we see it as a no brainer that UGA > Scar but maybe Burch wants to stay closer to home or maybe he wants to be THE guy. Maybe he doesn’t like change and Columbia is home. So many variables at play that’s it’s not as easy as saying we have a better program so.... time to commit.
End of of the day I hope he’s a dawg but if he chooses Scar so be it.
A lot of kids don't want to basically live at home especially to play for a team that's going nowhere.
Does that mean he will only sign with the Carolina Panthers in 2024/5
He needs to link up with Lecounte and Reed when we do get him on campus. Get'em!
Honestly, I'd be surprised if we have time with the dead period and all.
Staying home wasn’t exactly my point, rather there are several reasons why kids sign with teams. My comment was in regards to the post about if Scar has a bad season then Burch is an automatic UGA commit. Just trying to be even keel in recruiting. I brought up texdawgs post because he had talked about how hard of a decision this can be for these kids.
