Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Actually, I don't credit Pittman for the development of Wynn and his first round status. Wynn was the best offensive lineman that we had in 2015. 2016 and 2017 and started the entire time. Wynn started 5 games I think at left tackle in 2015 and the offense was significantly better. However, in 2016, Pittman and Smart insisted on playing Wynn at guard and let Catalina play left tackle because Wynn did not fit the measurables (only 6'2") that they had for the position (6'5" or taller). Catalina consistently got beat like a rented mule. It was a no brainer for him to start at tackle in 2017 and he proved how good he was.
Yeah. . .OU fans have been saying the exact same thing we have, and both groups are wrong. These are two top 5 OL coaches in college football by anyone's metric.
One thing I would try to sell if I were Pittman, is that their S&C is not to the caliber that you'll get with Sinclair at UGA. Orlando Brown's bench press and conditioning was embarrassing, and that's what I would harp on.
You are probably right about that @umooner . Sinclair is definitely a difference.
I don’t think this is fair. Brown obviously bombed the combine, but his body supposedly changed dramatically from then to the season. Plus, his season last year was likely better than that of any of our guys in The league
Browns a good player. No doubt.
still no announcement on Raym? You don't think the raft turned over do you?
Reporting to you live, from somewhere in Oklahoma...

Do you mean from the end of the season until the Combine? If you meant from the Combine until the NFL season, then that just further proves my point.
Regardless of whether it's fair or not, I would still make it.
EDIT: Nevermind, I see now you were responding to Tex, not me. My bad.
His follower count is going up by the minute. Smart kid.
I don’t think it would prove your point as he likely had a private trainer in the time between the season ending and the combine.
and I don’t think its fair to look at one player and use that to say our S&C program is objectively better. An OU fan could do the same with Nauta.
Only if Nauta gets in shape in the NFL and ends up way faster than he tested. There's a difference in just not having the potential.
The NFL Combine was about 2 months after Orlando's last game. Are you telling me he got that out of shape in 2 months? I just don't buy it. It wasn't just his poor performance, the dude looked flabby. Your body doesn't transform that much in 2 months.
Yea but one player doesn’t define a S&C program.
You can definitely transform your body to being out of shape in 2 months . Hell, i gained 10 pounds over 4th of July weekend despite already being flabby.
There will never be an OL at UGA as long as Sinclair is here that looked like Brown did at the Combine. Programs like Bama, Clemson, and UGA don't have players that look like that unless they have injuries that take them out for months. It says a lot that he got in much better shape with the Ravens too.
That's absolutely a selling point for UGA, and you're crazy if you don't think coaches say stuff like that all the time. It doesn't have to hold up in court.
He would’ve looked similar had went to any of those schools.
@mantis_toboggan69
How the hell do you know that? It's not provable either way, but I could not disagree more. Our players transform. Bama's players transform.
"- Redshirt freshman offensive lineman Owen Condon is another guy who has come a long way. He's a full-grown man in just a year at UGA, likely pushing 320 pounds. Smart commented this spring about how many gains he has made in the strength program and you could tell that by seeing him today."
Wow. That's impressive.
I'm happy to see that. I'm rooting to see him do big things.
