Who are you feeling is in the lead (as wellas other competition for him) currently? @SoFL_Dawg
We think Bama but there’s some chatter they’ve pulled back some as well. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him stay in state. Sounds like the water is lukewarm on both sides for him and UGA but staff is keeping comm channels open.
Should Tank choose us this will be a good look and RB combo for UGA. Tank has answered many questions about his game, mainly his versatility to not only be the #2 guy but to push for a starting role. Even the industry guys have been impressed by his camp performances. I could see him making UGA sweat a bit just because he had to work so hard to earn a committable offer but in the end we believe this is where he wants to be.
Besides when all said and done there may only be 5-6 GA kids in a class with at least 23. Ideally Kirby would like to see that number higher but this year hasn’t been great in state.
A lot was made about Burroughs' performance at the opening. IMO the format is set up for DL that attack the QB so really DL attack and OL defend. That does not suit someone who is a NT as they typically hold their ground and let the play come to them. I feel that the criticism of him is greatly overstated.
Theres a lot more to the Burroughs situation than just a camp performance. There are questions regarding his “want to” overall. I really like Burroughs and I think most here agree he’s a heck of a player when he’s focused, in shape, and playing like he has that allowed him to be an take as a emerging junior.
I hope everything is OK in his personal life as something seems off here. Doesn’t seem as jovial as he’s been in the past on interviews but that’s me being very subjective. Just hope everything is OK at home.
Kirby isn’t going to take a player that will not be able to contribute for at least 2 years based on current rosters. Right now that’s how Burroughs looks, a 2+ year developmental player. It’s not just about transforming the body, it’s adjusting to the classwork and we aren’t a cakewalk at UGA. Tymon Mitchell has some weight to shed but he’s going to integrate into classes seamlessly and will see snaps year 1, late. Jordan Davis is likely a 4 year player. Concerns are mounting and getting harder to defend on Burroughs. Senior year is still out there so there’s time, fingers crossed for him.
Darnell Washington
Theo Johnson - “All schools are in really good position right now,” Johnson told 247sports. “I’m not in any position to be making a decision.”“I think I’m going to have to take it into the season.”
Sounds like TE spots will be all based on how the upcoming season unfolds
I appreciate your information. I was really hoping Burroughs would be the guy he took a step forward in his senior year. Let's hope it can still happen.
I have always liked Tank. It has been hard for me to understand why UGA has been so hesitant to recruit him. I think the national recruiting thing is good but not when very good players from our own state are being overlooked. I always felt like the speed thing has been a smoke screen. I lived in Troup county for 9 years. It is Barn country as Uncle Lou likes to put it. There is as least 10 Barn fans for every Ga fan. I would hate to see him playing for the Barn two years from now.
I'm hoping I'm wrong, but I have a bad feeling about Kendall. I'm thinking he is going to go to LSU. and Ga is going to be in the same boat we were last year.

Last time I labeled someone a troll it didn’t go well but the shoe fits again.
No troll here. Been a Dawgs fan since Ed Thelinous was the play by play man. I doubt if most of you know who I'm talking about. I have no crystal balls and no inside info like SoFo-Dawg. I just try to keep up with things the best I can. My dream would be Tank and Kindell and in that order. But I have a bad feeling in my gut. I really, really, really hope I'm wrong.
No troll, he just sounds like a long time fan that needs a little more time to accept this team has turned a corner with recruiting.
@ancientdawg I’m not so sure that you are a troll, but I definitely disagree with you saying Troup Is Barn country.
