Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I agree with all this. Honestly though, can we blame them(me)? It’s like a ptsd of CMR era until we actually win the big one. This is the year the doubters will start believing
In reality, none of us really know what is going to happen in recruiting.
There are those that are well informed like @SoFL_Dawg and a few others - and there are those that have zero inside info - like me.
Just because a fan doesn't believe we'll get a recruit or a fan believes there is no way we'll miss on a recruit - doesn't make them a troll.
Personalities are different. Call it half full/half empty, positive/negative or whatever. Everyone processes things differently.
What I like about @SoFL_Dawg information is that it has proven to be very accurate in letting us know what recruits Georgia is interested in and what recruits are really interested in us. He has also been very accurate on those recruits we have cooled on (i.e. Justin Rogers) and those we are in a wait and see with (i.e. Bigsby, Whitehead).
But when it gets down to actually committing, there are just so many unseen possibilities. Doesn't mean info was wrong - just that it changes.
If @ancientdawg has a hard time believing it will happen or @umooner believes it's a done deal doesn't have any relevance on what eventually happens. Just two ways of processing this.
What we do know about Kirby's recruiting classes:
1. They'll be very good
2. They'll be full
3. And there will be at least 1-3 major surprises.
While that's true, I'll make an analogy for you. They say you have about 1 in 5 million to a 1 in 10 million chance to be in a plane crash every time you fly. If you're scared of being in a plane crash, that's a pretty irrational fear because the odds are so low that you'll actually be in one. So if said person is scared of being in a plane crash, and then they are in one, does that make their initial fear more rational? My answer is no, it does not.
To a lesser degree, I think that's what we're talking about here. Someone is scared for no other reason than a hunch that Milton is going to pick LSU despite everyone with any kind of information saying otherwise. . .it's not just SoFL_Dawg. Even if it happens, at this point in his recruitment, that's an irrational fear. 99% chance he signs with the Dawgs. Could the 1% happen. . .sure! But we shouldn't be scared of 1% in this kind of situation.
Now if we're talking about a 1% plane crash. . .that's a different story.
I get it @umooner .
Just saying people process things differently. Just because someone posts that they believe player x is going to LSU - it doesn't change what will actually happen.
Cant handle the heat, stay out the kitchen
Cmr has lost control of UGA fans optimism!
(Cough)recruiting thread (cough)
Ringo still hasn’t announced...
Plane crash?
Hey BubRub
Had same fear when I read this headline last year.....
Theo has mentioned that he doesn’t want to play where it’s cold. So assuming he wasn’t just saying this to be funny, I don’t see him playing in Michigan either.
A screenshot of a screenshot. Screenshot inception.
Hey Clean
Thanks for getting us back on topic.
It sounds like Theo should be ranked much higher like Gilbert and Washington. Not sure who is Flex or inline TE or both. I thought we were trying to get all three at one time but appears unlikely. I still think we need a deep threat speed receiver to take the top off defenses, like Mecole.
I am not definitively saying this is going to be the two running backs that Georgia ends up getting.
But I am saying that a lot of Georgia fans would love to see what these two guys could do together as teammates.
See Wren
Wren’s highlight clip shows him mostly working as RB out of backfield. I trust our coaches evaluations over rankings but The 500+ ranking suggests he’s a year or two away. He is not much smaller than bowman so we may even be able to use as the lighting out of backfield.
To be fair, Mecole's high school film would show him working as Quarterback. From that perspective I think Wren has more experience at WR than Mecole did before he arrived at UGA.
I believe you are correct though, Wren is likely being viewed as a project that will contribute after a year or two.
Wren has a good chance of being on two deep as KR year one as well.
It would be great to see Wren worked in at KR and on offense early. Speed can intimidate. Hope we can take advantage of D Rob and Simmons’ speed this year. Will help Pickens and Blalock get open everywhere else on field
He is not a recruit but the player most likely to replace Mecole Hardman in 2019 is Demetris Robertson. We will need to see how the wide receivers play out this year before we start worrying about who in going to start in 2020,
