National Gorgeous Grandmother Day

donmdonm Posts: 10,241 ✭✭✭✭✭ Graduate

Grandmothers are looking less and less like our traditional little old gray haired ladies. Honor the grandmothers in your life by taking them out on this day and encourage them to dress "to the nines". Let them experience their beauty and thank them for all they have done for you.

One way to do this would be to celebrate National Vanilla Ice Cream Day. By far the favorite flavor in the US, it goes great with almost everything, including scoops of other flavored ice cream. Treat your grand mom right today!!

I lost both my grandmothers when I was a baby so I didn't get to experience having them growing up so to all of you on this board that still have your grandmothers, enjoy them totally. Even if they have weird ideas or smell weird. Trust me, you would rather have them than not.

My grandmother actually had a pretty serious medical incident a couple weeks ago, so listen to the above. Love 'em while you got 'em.

Thanks @DvilleDawg. She had a str.oke and while the prognosis isn't great, it's a far cry from what it could have been. Thank God for that I suppose.
