Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Who the BLANK cares how old the video is? Wise counsel withstands the test of time. As far as "team cancer goes" - the kid is 17yrs old and he hasn't been in the program for 1 minute. YOU deem yourself judge and YOU KNOW what is best for the program and the kid - all based on what YOU KNOW which is almost nothing - internet rumors and chat.
If Kirby, Dell & Coley pass on Evans, then I will be fine w/ it because I trust their judgement. However, and I don't know if you have kids or not, I have a 16 and 17yr old myself - I can tell you, they are not fully developed yet into who they are gonna be - a lot of growing up occurs between 17-22yrs old.
You need to let the coaches - who literally know 100x what you think you know - look into this and make their moves they deem appropriate. I don't presume to know and neither should you. I don't know the kid and neither do you.
Honestly, how in the world do you know what Saban cares about? You have no idea.
Coaches can, and do, care about their players regardless of their rating.
And how often do you hear of this cancerous culture at Alabama? You really don't.
Comon man.
That cancerous culture has yielded five championships. 5 years ago we could have signed a kid out of prison and some people been okay with it, but now a kid gets into it with a coach and he's no good for the program
Actually, I saw Kirby reading this thread on his phone during practice. He was trying to figure out who the Next to Commit to the G would be. He marked a number of posts Off Topic before slamming his phone down.
Thanks @SoFL_Dawg .
On the 2nd chance topic. I forgot the kid`s name that played for Benedictine in Savannah. I remember reading his name on here as a lock for WR in this class. He was caught with weed on the campus and kicked out of school. Haven't heard his name discussed since. Where is his 2nd chance? I was going to go watch him this year(only because I live in Savannah). Now I don't even know where he plays or his name. That kid was wrote off early.
I bet Kirby checks the 5-star chef zone for game day meal ideas
I think you need to read this comment I made
Yes...this is pretty obvious. If he was just barely a take in the first place, this would be enough to suggest we move on to other kids. When you have the talent he has, the potential headache is easier to accept.
All is hypothetical at the moment anyway, but in general, if a kid has talent we all will be much more willing to overlook potential shortcomings.
Interesting that the person that uses the term "narrow minded" to describe others doesn't even read the comments he's posting about. Sigh
In fairness, you need to give examples - 1 - where Saban was a hypocrite to what is in that video. He said, "...every guy who is 19 year olds... - 1:19).
Also, only 4-5 stars are going to generate heat. A 2-3 star getting into trouble and are or are not dismissed, will get a tsk-tsk, if that; but a 4-5 star will raise the blood of vengeance if they are not dismissed. The stars already generate the disparity.
What does your source have to say on the current situation and impending commitment ?
I read what you wrote - you said about three things wrong in there. Do I need to outline them for you ?
You’re asking questions I can’t answer. Scholarship offers at any school are subject to change. Regarding Rico Powers Jr, he made choices that impacted his recruitment. It’s a privilege to play at any school that will grant a scholarship. Rico’s second chance is going to come at another school. He wasn’t ever a UGA commit, and although things were headed that way, he made a mistake that took away his opportunity at UGA. UGA/Kirby doesn’t owe him anything. I’m sure he’ll land on his feet and he’ll hopefully achieve the success he’s chasing.
I think if anything else, Kirby and Staff would use this as a learning lesson to explain he is highly wanted, but he will not always get the ball. He will be a part of team that is just as talented as he is. And you always have to work for a job.
