Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Slaw on the side. Do like the slightly sweet variety also.
Prefer my sandwiches to not be real messy. If they are, I'll just fork and knife them
I vote yes for slaw on the q sandwich
Slaw dawg must include chilli of course
I like slaw on a Q sandwich, but I only like tart slaw. So, put the slaw on the side so meatheads like me don't disrespect sweet slaw and Q sandwiches.
Side note... sauce flavor is important, too.
Rpm bro that sounds like a whole debate.... knife and fork a q sandwich, ribs, pizza, etc
yes, it goes great on a sandwich
the slaw recipe I use is designed to use with a pork sandwich. it is only just ok without it
Aaron Franklin agrees and that is good enough for me
Not ribs. But I fork pizza until it's cool enough to pick up.
I'm also a purist. No bbq on a bun or any type of bread for me. Good bbq should just need a fork. And pickles. Gotta have pickles.
If the slaw is good then heck yeah
I do it both ways, but I sample the slaw first before I jack up a perfectly good sandwich with a less than desirable slaw. I’m pretty picky about slaw. It’s got to be GOOD or else you can throw it in the trash before putting any in the fridge for leftovers.
Sides are baked beans and fries. Brunswick stew is not a side. Brunswick Stew is either a standalone dish or poorly done, imo.
you know what’s up bank bro and agree with all of that
On the same page Orlando bro and I live by the same method
Wait... whatup bro... no buns? Live a little my bro. Yeah a plate and sides are cool, but a sandwich on lunch is the bees knees
Rpm bro, I can respect that method.
Purist? A fraudulent claim. 😷 You either need a bun, or texas toast. One or the other. Neither is what people do when they are pretending to be on a diet but still eat way too much.
