Georgia's lack of speed at WR is what makes Arian Smith a very important recruit . I do think now that it is very likely that DRob comes back.
Why do you think that on Drob?
Probably because he has done nothing to earn a decent draft grade and hasn’t shown that he can stay healthy. Limited good film on him, outside of what he did at Cal, but has been unable to duplicate at UGA.
Lol. I know this is off topic but Drob has absolutely done enough to impress NFL scouts. If you think the lack of offensive production in the passing game will cause him to return you’re mistaken.
This is Drob’s last year. When his hammy is 90%, as it was the first two weeks of the season, everyone will be reminded why he’s gone.
To get drafted Demetris Robertson needs a healthy productive year. Not a year that he is playing on a bad ham string. I do not know about his chance of a speedy recovery with this type of injury but it looks like he is going to play with it all year.
Demetris Robertson is currently the number 4 receiver for Georgia. Even if you double Demetris Robertson's current stats of 18 receptions for 205 yards that is not going to get you drafted very high; if at all.
I think if DRob leaves he will get drafted way later than if he stays another year and is healthy all year. The best film he’s got is his freshmen year where he played in the PAC 12 with far less superior athletes than the SEC and a lot more zone than man coverage.
Right. Seems y’all have already forgotten how he looked weeks 1-2. Seems like many don’t understand what the NFL values. The production hill, in a run first offense, is not something scouts will die on. Furthermore, injuries would compel a player to jump early and secure the bag, not stay in school.
He’ll be a 4.3 guy at the combine. Won’t be many of those, less than 4. Has good-great hands. Can line up inside and outside. Willing blocker. Won’t get past the 3rd round and go to a better team.
Only way he stays is if Fromm returns, which he also doesn’t have much to gain in returning. If Fromm leaves, no way Drob stays to help break in a new QB.
He’s hard to judge, yes he has elite speed but so did Jacoby Ford. Demetris is still skinny and I don’t know his 3 cone drill or 20 yard shuttle times so I can’t say how quick he is which I think he will need to be quick to be successful cause he’s not going to put muscle a nfl defender based on his size. Quickness, route running, and being able to catch are the biggest skill a wr needs to be successful in the nfl. Based on the last year and a half I’ve seen Demetris he hasn’t shown me anything to get drafted 3rd or higher. Potentially he can go 1-2 rounds but I haven’t seen anything he’s done that made me say “yep that dude can be a game changer”.
Reminds me of Le’veon Bell size-wise
Can’t wait to see him at Athens
I hope TJ isn't watching Penn State play today. TE having a big day early.
Ha, wishful thinking
Do we have reason to feel bullish on TJ again?
Hint: coffee mug or Natalie hammock gifs are both equally welcome responses (!)
Based on what I recently read, I’d say no. Haven’t heard any different on him since ND.
Not UVing the status of his recruitment but appreciate you taking the time to respond/share knowledge as always. Thank you!
So will Oklahoma lose all of their recruits just like us? /s
