Retired on fixed income. Going to Costco tomorrow. Someone told me Costco has a good store brand whiskey. Anybody brave enough to admit they tried it? If so, was it any good?
Thanks.
I know lots of retired dudes on fixed income who buy nothing but Costco brand liquors and are very content. Some of their liquors are better than others (e.g., I don't love their scotch, it's a step down from Dewars or Grouse, but their Canadian is as good as Crown, to me).
It's all worth a try so you can decide for yourself what's still worth paying premium price for.
Thanks AnotherDawg. Will buy some Canadien today.
Have tried Jefferson's Ocean recently. Good pour. Even with the pricetag.
It's Jim Beam repackaged. If you like Beam you'll like Kirkland's bottle
I agree...something about the salt air and sloshing around in the barrel contributes to making a tasty beverage.
As long as you like it, it dont make no difference. I have never tried it buy I would guess they have some good Bourbon.
I want to try that but the price always puts me off for something that sounds gimmicky
and a single glass goes for $25-$30 at most places I have seen
one day I'll pull the trigger
Please let me how you like the Midwinter. I have the Midsummer and don't love it.
For the price, there are, IMO, better choices. That said, it was still very good!
Can get a bottle for 60 dollars
I think it is closer to $80-$90 here
will do
kind of bourbon related but Goose Island released the bourbon county stout line last week
I was able to grab 1 original, 1 mon cheri, 2 cafe de ola, 1 wheatwine, and 1 reserve rye
did not get the entire lineup but happy enough with what I was able to get. really wish I could have grabbed at least one of each though
