Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I wouldn't want to coach with that on the other sideline. I'm good!
@CZCashvilleDawg watching those Justin Robinson highlights he looks like a poor man's version of George Pickens - very athletic and physical but not very fast. I will say this as well - on defense he will knock your head off. Looks like a possession receiver for the back shoulder throws and redzone target - not a vertical threat. I like him - could grow into a Tight End.
Agree, while not a burner, he is a good fit for our X WR position, to fill in the Cager role. I dont see him being a TE
@JeffSentell Do you know the speed comparison fro Cager to Robinson (current or out of highschool) ?
I seem to remember reading J Rob was timed at a 4.5, which if true is very fast for a 6'4 high schooler
Doubt he'd ever be a TE. Would need to put on 40-50 pounds, and there's no reason to do that, he's got the same body type as Cager/Pickens and likely the same ~4.7 speed
Cager was 4.7 and Jrob was timed 4.5 at UGA, I'd say probably unlikely but it is what it is.
JRob is not a 4.5/40 guy on that tape - not a chance.
yeah, I could see the upside of JRob being Cager-esque.
Big difference between 40 speed and game speed. Big thing is that he doesn't have the agility that Pickens has, which translates to film. I doubt he's 4.5 consistently but I could see him being high 4.5 or mid 4.6
That's plenty fast, especially if he can get out of his breaks.
Learned something interesting this weekend that I did not know. Maybe @NoahSewellFanClub was aware of this....but I was not.
Colleges now have the analytics to watch a kid on film and know almost precisely how fast a kid is.
Not sure but I believe they can only do this on skill positions and players in the open field.
They can then take that info and determine how often a player plays at full speed.
Food for thought: JRob is playing nearly every down in high school, both sides of the ball. There isn't a world where he does that on the next level. Wouldn't be surprised if it has an affect on his tape agility.
Yes sir, they have programs that calculate mph from film. Incredible stuff
