Man hopefully no other schools will hire him and set a bad example for the kids.
Well maybe we can get some of the Eastern part of the state’s games in before the weather gets bad. Let’s hope. Theses are the 4 teams in my county. I have family in 2 of the 4 schools but we try to support them all. Live in Madison county but raised in Oconee. I think you should support all the schools in your county. Kid’s,Grandkids and Great Grandkids that’s why we support them and not just sports. Come on high school fans show your colors. I know the Red, Black and silver are your colors.
I think Rodgers is in over his head down there. He got outcoached so bad tonight it wasn't even funny,
I follow his old team very closely and I was SHOCKED Rogers went to Colquitt. I do understand he was like their 4th or 5th choice but no one before him would take the job.
Rogers was a head coach for 5 or 6 years. Now he goes to one of the premier football programs in the state that is in disarray after the Rush debacle. Rush is a sleeze bag but his ties run deep and far. He had kids move into the area as early as middle school just to play for him. They knew Rush would do whatever it takes to be the best and that means next level for some. Rogers has ZERO ties like that.
Rogers is a great offensive mind. That said, he struggles on the defensive side of things and his preference in defensive coaches is not very good either. But the gap is the largest with his in game adjustments. Those are nonexistent. What you start the 1st qrtr doing is exactly what you will be doing in the 4th qrtr no matter of whether it is working or not. No surprise they are pumping up basketballs
That said, Rogers is a very young, intelligent coach. He will get better with time. But down in Norman Park, I am not sure he will get that time it would take for him to grow as a coach before he gets the walking papers.
Rabun vs Toombs recap
+1 for the Norman Park reference
Commit to the G Gunner!!
Gunner gonna be special
Yes lack of adjustment was his downfall last night. He came into the came planning to throw over the top of the Parkview defense and establish a running game. Both of which worked great in the first half. When they adjusted in the second half, Rodgers was lost. The program believe it or not was in good shape when he got there. There was plenty of talent, and the best facilities in the State. He did have success, but at a 4A school. What works in AAAA does not necessarily translate to region 1AAAAAAAA.
Got 2 teams left in Oconee county and Athens Academy.
How do you think the RB for Parkview will do this week?
@BiggDawgg63 I think I already mentioned this on a thread, but every time I hear about Athens Academy, I feel like I should recognize Bob Chambers. He is still beloved at Pace Academy and he left over 35 years ago. Here's an article. Good luck to your two teams.
Also, condolences to the Chambers family on the passing of Beth Chambers. It's been a year or two, but she left far too early.
Watching Parkview handle Lowndes last week really open my eyes to this guy...We need to recruit this guy hard..
? Parkview played Lowndes in September. Lowndes blew them out. They haven't met (yet) in the playoffs, but nobody has handled Lowndes so far this season.
