CBS reporting the deal for Pittman to AR is 90% done. Let’s hope Kirby does what he has to do to keep him.

I love Pittman, but I really don't see how this makes sense for Arkansas. If he does leave good for him, but I don't see it working. They couldn't do anything with Bielema or Morris and they had way more experience than Pitt.

Have to try really hard to find a silver lining in the Pittman news but I'll try:

    1. Its not a done deal yet so their is still a glimmer of hope
    2. It would be a well deserved promo for the pit boss
    3. Chaney and Pittman were the architects of this offense. Would be a good time to go another way if Pittman leaves

There I tried. Still bad news overall though

Here is what I don’t get. If you are look for someone with no coordinator experience, give Joe Brady the HC job. That makes a crap ton more sense

They are looking for a hire that just wow’s everyone because they fully believe they are a top 5 program in the nation. They believe they are one of the most histories programs in the nation. But they don’t want to rebuild. They don’t believe they need to be labeled as rebuilding because they are such a great program

Pittman’s a good recruiter, and you have to have someone recruit to Arky. Especially in Texas. Not sure how he handles the rest of the HC stuff, but he’s clearly got a handle on that.

Now hearing, if Pitt take the job, hes bringing Barry Odom(Mizzou HC this year) as his DC.

I've been thinking about this for a while but I'm wondering if O-line recruiting is the most overrated position group on the team in terms of importance. In the last 4 years UGA has brought in almost as many 5 stars on the o-line, four, as this year's playoff teams combined, five. I guess I'm saying, it' appears to be easier to win a title with an "average to good offensive line offensive line and elite WRs than visa versa.
