Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

no worries Anotherdawg bro.... maybe some will read it maybe not
The bad vibes will gradually go away until there's nothing left but a somber recognition of our futility
Yes- classic- @FirePlugDawg mentioned above. Great movie. My favorite scene is the one where Philip Seymour Hoffman argues with his new boss, breaks the glass, gets the thumbs up from the secretary. Feel free to post that on here.
No one saw the movie because it was a departure from Hanks' typical role (at the time) and no one knew what to make of it. But it's in my personal Top 10, all time.
It is the season for giving
In the immortal words of Judge Smails, "Didn't want to do it. Felt I owed it to them."
I don't like to bump my own threads, and I resisted the urge after the initial response to the Jamie Newman news. Then @SoFL_Dawg posted his commentary (which was fact-based, insightful, and much appreciated), but now a lot of folks in Dawg Nation are concerned about the state of the program. Not just for the coming season but bigger picture than that.
So I thought it was time to revive this thread, especially for the newer members who may have missed it the first time around.
Personally, I am still 100% psyched about the coming season. I hope (and trust) that Kirby will address whatever locker room issues there might be. The way our program is being painted needs to be addressed, not just with words, but in a meaningful way.
I hope Dwan Mathis gets first shot at the QB job, for a lot of reasons. Will he be the best man for the job? Maybe yes, maybe no. We shall see!
All we gotta do is just "Keep On Chomping!!"
Reading through this thread reminds me that I miss @kelly_b and @FirePlugDawg both. Talk about two different ends of the spectrum!
