Hey have you heard if we’re still going in home with G. Dexter
I've seen a couple of Colquitt Co playoff games - Parkview this year and one last year - and came away very impressed. Very elusive player w/ jump cuts and quickness - great COD - maybe not as good as Swift but very nice. Also can catch bubble screens in pass game.
Personally, if this kid can get his grades up and take school more seriously, would love him in this class for UGA.
@SoFL_Dawg any other recruiting whispers for us right now?
Yessir, I've seen this young man play in person. He reminds me of Swift in terms of being able to cut on a dime. One thing to mention that I wrote down, his lower body is under-developed, he lacks muscular legs and that may be a reason why he slows down during games or why his 40 time isn't as high or consistent as he'd like. In layman's terms, he's top heavy as hell. S&C may have this kid on a different level. Recruiting rankings always favor young men who are physically more ready, some kids just need better S&C programs than what they have.
Nothing I'm putting out as letting things develop is the way to do this going forward vs. rushing to be the first to drop something when it may not have enough meat to it.
Ill say 5 WRs, 4 DBs are still a very real possibility “assuming” all want in.
Looks like another OL will be targeted, likely combo OL capable of playing inside-out.
Kimber pushing for Burns
Major Burns. I want him on the commit list. Just for his name. That is an All-American name.
Almost as good as General Booty
It was reported on here earlier in the season that tank ran in the 4.4 area for teams.
Me personally, I could care less if backs are "similar". If they are big, strong, balanced, has vision and fast, then get me three of them.
Would you want Chubb and Gurley on the same team? Oh wait ;)
No doubt that they were, but Gurley didn't play all of 2014 and Chubb did. If one goes down with injury, you have another to take their place. And if Gurley and Chubb were in the same class, no one would say no to taking both.
This goes to Tank and Milton. If the argument is that they are similar, then how is that a problem if they are both great?
The Milton family has been told that Kendall will be the only RB in the class barring any crazy change
This is a really good point honestly, and I do understand where you’re coming from. But at the same time I’m sure you’d understand the logic behind getting guys with differing skill sets.
This is probably a bit of a preference thing. I’m sure in hindsight staff would play it differently but in the moment what we did seemed like a smart decision.
I definitely understand the why behind it and that it was a gamble that didn't pay off.
We have seen over the years how attrition at RB can happen. I would always like to have two RBs that can carry the team if one goes down. Milton is an obvious top choice for this. It would be good to see a speed guy in this class. And speed doesn't mean they have to be small.
