With Card not coming. I believe Kirby talks Jake into staying one more year. Gives beck a year to learn the ropes and then we go into a battle with Clemson for Stockton.
Back to team speed and Corey Wren.
Is Corey Wren still a possibility as a RB/WR/Return specialist since we do not have a RB in this class and as our kick/punt return teams lack big play explosive threat.
I doubt it but wish we could’ve kept him and added to the room. 7 pass catchers would’ve been my wish this cycle.
Does anyone remember Kirbys first year ? How Chubb and Michell has to go to him and Chaney and say “you need to actually run the ball instead of throwing it all the time”.... maybe this Kirby doesn’t throw narrative is potentially a little misplaced. Perhaps some of this is really just that development among the WR and QB hasn’t fully happen like one would have hoped? Ultimately it comes back to the coaches on development but maybe the story like of Kirby never wants to throw is a little off?? Just thinking out loud.
Kendall Milton...
Yeah. Was excited about his speed in return game while he developed as wr. Blaylock was solid late in year on returns but did not strike fear in opponents and not a game changer.
Also, thought that class was full and almost set a couple months ago. Now, not sure if we get 20 of names on those old boards. New names for slots 19-23 that Had not really been on radar. Pleasant surprises though.
Trent Smallwood gave his forecast pick to uga yesterday on rivals
For who?
Burch my bad
If Beck has mobility and arm strength we won’t have significant drop at QB. Plus, if and this is a big if Dawn Mathis is healthy he also can move and has a big arm.
I meant speed back, lightning back not in this class and JC is only one on roster. Love Kendall but 4.75 is not traditional speed back or return threat. I trust KM’s game speed will be explosive whatever the timed speed, particularly when he runs over the guy in front of him
No way he hits 4.2 lol.
I wouldn't say no way. He's one of the fastest track guys in the country.
