Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Listen, I don't know what happened. On its face, suspending a kid in the playoffs over a phone sounds petty. If its worse, then I agree. There is history here and I'm not so sure some of this isn't on the coaches as well. Word is they are big Aggie guys. What do you think will be their attitude towards Zach in light of the signing buzz?
Nevertheless, I don't know what happened. I agree that authority must be respected. But I'm also a firm believer in authority must also respect. Without me being there, I have no idea who's in the right. My opinion was based solely on the face of the reason per the post.
Edit: per SoFL_Dawg coaches aren't aggie fans. Like a severability clause - the rest remains.
He needs to get out of there and to their credit, he and his family know it. Seems they respect Dell and Kirby to mold him and teach discipline needed.
Is there any indication any of his HS coaches or community “reps” were in line for any jobs at any other schools. Sure seems that way.
Oh I’m not disagreeing with you. I’m sure the coaches have a short fuse with all things Evans related. Probably aren’t many, if any, adults in that program right now.
Only statement I’m making is Evans might have some issues with authority (as most teenage guys do). But he’s going to have to check that some at the next level.
I don’t want to make it sound like Evans was in the right here, but taking phones away the night before is a dumbass rule for kids that are 16-18 years old.
Texas Division 1 College Teams - 11
Zach Evans Final Choices - None from Texas
Evans has had problems arise everytime he has come close to committing. I do think its best he gets out of Texas. Similar to how some kids get out of GA. Its needed for growth. Im tired of the stuff with his coaches. A few NSHS players speak on nothing but positives when mentioning Evans so I cant figure whats up.
The folks responsible for that Twitter handle are clowns. Those are the same folks who spread the Pickens lie about beating up a special needs kid.
I think the Aggie angle from tc's post is plausible. The first sign of trouble & shite coincided with Evans closing in on shooting a commitment video to UGA. Now that he's allegedly signed with UGA he gets suspended over this?
Evans leash was very short due to past transgressions....Coach just keeping to his principles is how I see it....
As an ignorant layman this sounds cult-like. I have relatives in TX that refer to Aggie football fan culture as cult like. These two trains of thought keep going through my mind after reading about the possibility of the NSHS coaches being big Aggie guys
Point of clarity. His staff are Texas fans not aggies.
Darnell and Kelee have flipped from the Voltards this morning to Oregon this afternoon. I'm hearing from my sources that they have been communicating with Joey Freshwater's bagmen so look for another potential flip this evening.
One of those trains of thought just derailed into a ravine. RIP to all the passengers and train engineers. Pretty sure I saw daffy duck as the train conductor.
Speaking of trains, the Ringo Washington Troll Train has no brakes
Or another Chris Steele thingy....
